Warm Bacon Cheese Spread

1 round loaf (1 pound) sourdough bread

1 package cream cheese (8oz)

1 c sour cream

2 c shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

pound sliced bacon, cooked & crumbled

cup chopped green onions

Cut the top fourth off the loaf of bread; carefully hollow out the bottom, leaving a 1-in. shell. Cut the removed bread into cubes for dipping and set aside. In mixing bowl beat the cream cheese then add sour cream, cheese & Worcestershire sauce until combined; stir in bacon & onions then spoon into bread shell. Wrap in heavy duty tin foil and bake @ 325 degrees for 1 hour or until heated through. Serve with crackers and removed bread cubes.

My wife just seen this when staring over my shoulders. She is going try this over the weekend. I will be sure to mention how good it turns out. I want to say this, whomever created this idea of an SA Kitchen thread needs to get the biggest pat on the back ever. Great stuff being listed.

Oh I am so happy to see this thread pop up. My wife made this for our annual gathering yesterday. IT IS DEVINE!!! HIGHLY recommended by me. It is fantastic with Red Wine. Please, everyone, give this thing a shot. You will be very thankful.
