Michael Lombardi has just tweeted that the Chicago Bears signed tight end Matt Spaeth from the Steelers.

This opens up the door for Vaughn Charlton and Weslye Saunders, 2 of the UDFA's signed by the Steelers to step up and make a name for themselves.

He wasn't a top priority this offseason and this was more than likely a case of them just ready to go in a different direction and be done with the experiment that was the inconsistent Matt Spaeth.

Meh. He had flashes, but for the most part, Spaeth really didn't live up to expectations. I'd rather see Saunders get a chance.

The team called me today saying that they were looking for a slow white guy to whiff on blocks and drop passes.

LOOKS LIKE I'M THE #2 TE!

Whiff on Blocks? you mean David Johnson in the super bowl when mendy lost the ball and we lost the game.. that missed block?? or his other lazy blocks.. ben and ward block better than johnson.

85 needs to go to.. bring in three new TE's
