On this edition of Blitzburgh Radio, we took a break from our normal Steelers talk to welcome some very special guests to the show! SteelerAddicts had the honor interviewing 2 members of the current Pittsburgh Passion (http://www.pittsburghpassion.com) football team. Amanda Haeg (http://66.147.244.185/%7Epassiou3/?page_id=1024) is the starting QB and Rachel Wojdowski (http://66.147.244.185/%7Epassiou3/?page_id=1222) , a starting WR. We appreciate them taking some time out of the schedules to talk with us on Blitzburgh Radio. These women play true full contact, tackle, football in the Womens Football Alliance (WFA (http://www.wfafootball.com/)). For those that follow the Passion these are familiar faces for sure, and for those that haven't yet you owe it to yourself to check them out!

They talked to us about their current undefeated season, their drive to the playoffs if they win their next game, their careers outside of football and much more. It's definitely worth a listen so check it out!

That was great... Passion is a great name for them because they do have Passion for football...

I would have to think Cleveland would be their rival also :yesnod:

They mentioned Cleveland was a rival too, of course not quite on the same level as the Steelers/Browns are, LOL. Since they play alot of regional type teams they build up a good rivalry between a lot of them.

I found it amazing that these ladies do not get paid to play. They play for the love of the game, and that's something you don't see these days. Full time careers, families, normal lives and play professional football too!

exactly...I thought for sure they got paid at least something. That is what I mean by the passion..they play because they love the sport and not the money or fame..others need to take lessons..

I would really like to go see a game...SA road trip

They were actually playing at home the weekend of the draft this year, we'll have to see what their schedule is for 2012 and maybe we can all go to a game! The tickets are only 14.00 per person.

 How are they professional if they don't get paid?

Huge congrats to the Passion on their undefeated regular season, finishing up 8-0 as of their last game this past Saturday. They will host the first round of the playoffs, and look to be heading into the post season on a strong note.
