The only even semi sure thing on the current roster would be Ward. In the minds of Steelers fans he should be a lock, but we all know the HoF voters don't always see it the same way that the fans do.

Guys that have a chance if they keep playing the way they have so far: Roethlisberger, Polamalu, Aaron Smith.

I would say Big Snack has a better chance than Aaron. Aaron Smith just doesn't have the resume

Both Casey Hampton and Aaron Smith chances to make Canton are hurt by the fact they have played in a 3-4 defense their entire careers.....We all know sacks are what Hall of Fame voters look at when voting ans since 3-4 DL don't get sacks I'm afraid both Hampton/Smith won't make it.....Now in my opinion they're both Hall of Fame DL since I think they have been among the best at their respective positions their entire careers........Plus when you look at Smith's career sack total and its pretty damn good for a 3-4 DE.......

I think Ward belongs in Canton but I just hope the Hall of Fame voters agree with me.....

If the Steelers had won this past Super Bowl then I think Ben would have been a lock when his career was done..........If Ben does lead the Steelers to a couple more Super Bowl titles then I think he will get in......If Ben doesn't win anymore Super Bowls then he better start putting the consistent monster stats to please the stat whores for him to get in.....

I think Troy will make it.......

3 More SB's in the next decade and Ben and Tomlin are in!

Hines may get in in 20 or 30 years

I think Ward has the best shot due to his statistics, two rings, and a Super Bowl MVP award. If he spends a few more years in the black and gold and can get another ring, I think he has a good shot, but he sure as heck won't be a first ballot guy.

Aside from Ward, I think it is too early to call anyone else a potential Hall of Fame player: Roethlisberger needs to do a lot on the field to get people over off the field transgressions, Polamalu does not yet have the stats to make it there, plus he's been nonexistent in two Super Bowls, and guys like Smith/Hampton are long shots due to the 3-4 scheme. If Harrison could have made it onto the field earlier in his career and posted similar numbers annually, he could have had a shot, but I do not see him playing long enough to tally up the sacks and tackles to satisfy the HOF statistics junkies.

Right now just Hines...his resume is full, and he has the charisma to lobby for it as well. Plus he is complex as a player, they made a rule for him because of the way he plays. Swan and Stallworth have less numbers and are in. Ben needs to win another SB, and Troy has to stay healthy and they will be locks as well. :tt02::tt02::tt02::tt02:

Hines will get in because of his presence on the field and the voters cnt ignore that he changed the game, hell because of him we have The HINES WARD Rule to protect the big bad Defenders from the bad old Wide Outs. enough said. Ben based on his career thus far should get in and I'd like to say Troy I believe he deserves it but they like to look at how many games a year defenders play and Troy's stats on that respect arent that good.

i dont belive ben has to win another ring to make the hof he has better numbers in his first seven years than elway elway 1st 7 seasons 17,997 yds 120 td passes 126 ints no rings bens first 7 seasons 22,502 yds 144 td passes 86 ints 3 afc championships 2 super bowl rings highest winning pct over the first seven years of any qb in league history and he finally has some recievers this year so i think even if he doesnt win another one he will make the hof barring a catastorphe:imho:
