well im constantly thinking about the draft now that the season over i ask alot of people for names that we might look at...we all know about out oline and LB needs, but what about the later rounds, we never get good use from our later rounds and i would like to see that change.

Who would you like to see in a later round, someone that could be valuable to us....call me crazy but heres mine

Hey drafting a punter is a not a bad idea at all, infact it's a good one because Gardocki's days are done here and we'll need someone who can get us consistently good punts which helps out our defense in a huge way, especially when you're backed near you're goal line, getting a punt down to the opposing team's 30 is HUGE !

1. Offensive Line: A solid group but there are still some question marks, most notably at center and both right guard and right tackle.
2. Linebacker: In recent years this franchise has always had impact players here so it just might be time to replenish that talent supply.
3. Cornerback: This group is solid but they don't always play up to their ability and it sure wouldn't hurt to bring in some depth either.
I couldn't have said this better myself:clap:
IMO, I think Marvin Philip will Beat out Chukky Okobi in training camp because Hartings is more likely to hang'em up:2cents:

How old is Gardoki now... 50 :dunno: He is a good kicker especially when kicking from around the 50 yard line with pinning the opponent inside the 20. He would be good in those situations but there is no logical explanation to keep 2 punters on the roster!

What was wrong with the punter the Steelers have cut the last two years and kept Gardocki instead. His name slips my mind right at the moment. But I thought that guy out kicked Gardockt this past pre-season and really should have made the team.

I think the dude's name is Barr, but his first name escapes me. With all this talk about drafting o-linemen (which I agree with) something kind of popped up in my head.

I was playing Madden the other night, and decided to have to computer organize my depth chart for me, it put Chukki at center and Hartings at RG. I wonder if this would have been a good move, and made a few people expendable, making it a little easier for us this draft.

I'm not sure Hartings knees could handle much more. Playing guard it would seem like he would have to pull and be downfield more than center which is why I bring the knees up. If he had healthy knees that might not be a bad idea though.

Mike Barr. I was surprised he did not make the roster this year. He looked good. I think he will end up making the roster this time around though.

Yeah alot of people thought he had a great chance to make the team this year again. I thought he had a great shot.

Im not sure Jeff has another year in him either but there's been word of him talking about retirement or anything lately so I dont' know.
