first things that jump out at me ..

-pretty bold call on locker/gabbert .. what is behind that?
-the only WR's I can put ahead of Greg L are AJG and JJ .. i think baldwin has received too much hate
-clayborn ahead of heyward?

looking forward to your mock/final rankings ..

i ****ing hate gabbert....3rd round prospect at best. he and cam need to seriously fight over who should be president of the andrew luck fan club. gabbert had chances at mizzou and couldnt contend for the job and didnt even do that well when he did...now all of a sudden hes a professional franchise QB? i dont buy it at all

i like little a ton, he actually visited the steelers yesterday or today which excites me....but hes still so raw and doesnt really have a true position. i think he might have the most potential out of any WR though.

clayborn over heyward is a casuality of 43 vs 34 all in one list. i LOVE heyward as a 34end, but not at all as a 43 end or tackle. clayborn i like alot as a a 43 end and think he could be a pretty good 5 tech as well...it happened a lot when deciding who should go where, i think the only player i listed twice was wiz...5th guard, but #1 center

Ain't no way Ras-I is ahead of Jimmy Smith.

explain why.

first of all jimmy smith is being touted as a great prospect for a pro CB based on his size and speed, but its all potential. he has everything you need to look the part but in the wrong system or being forced in too soon he will likely bust. imo he wasnt even the best CB on colorado...jalil brown was better, but he doesnt translate to the pros remotely as close as smith

rasi of 2009 would be right up there with amukamara imo....

also over 1 slot in the rankings isnt really worth explaining, its just one spot...niot like i have him 5 over him

-if you were to put the RB's in a tier would williams, leshoure and ingram all be stuck together? i really dnt think much of ingram .. 3rd to 5th round is where i want a Rb.. Murray, Vereen, Rodgers, Jones, Devine ... feel like im leavin some out too

-Jones ahead of Green .. was that an adjustment pre or post combine?

-Stephen Paea -- does that ranking reflect a bunch injury risk? ive started developing a slight mancrush lately .. not necessarily for us, but the man is a beast

-housler might be a project, but he has so much more upside than that ranking reflects imo ..

i expect all 13 of those DTs to be drafted in the first 4 rounds....so its pretty thin as far as rankings go but i like paea as a NT in a 43 playing next to a disruptive 3tech...in a 34 im not crazy about him

ive always liked jones over green, for 2 years now. not a huge separation but i give jones my #1 ranking.

i dont think any RBs are drafted in round 1 this year, but probably 5-6 in rounds 2 or 3

Potential? It's not like he was a 1 year starter. He's a much better cover corner than Ras-I. Teams wouldn't even throw his way in his senior year. Dowling probably would be the better fit for the Steelers because his physicality and ability to help in run-support but as a pure corner, Smith all day.

K Train

pure corner? i disagree....dowling is a much more polished cover corner, jimmy is a bit bigger and more durable

If Ras-I was a more polished corner than Smith, he would be projected much higher than mid-2nd round. He's obviously the better tackler out of the two and is better in run support.

if Nick Fairley and Marcell Dareus headline a loaded class of 13 defensive tackles in the 2011 draft. Does this mean that there are solid C/G's being overlooked this year because the DT's made them look mediocre during the season, or are the C/G's that bad this year that they made all these DT's look even better? just a thought...

he had a down year due to him being hurt and out most of it...no doubt about it he needs to bulk up his lower body but hes been helping himself alot and gaining momentum leading up to the draft, meanwhile jimmy is being taken off teams boards.

i really do have them graded about the same giving a slight nod to dowling who overall i think is the better football player.

also thinking that mock draft projections or even where they are actually selected amkes any difference at all as to what kind of player they end up being is foolish

guards are always tough to project in the draft because more than half the guards in the nfl are tackles that couldnt cut it at tackle in the pros.

pouncey is a true guard, so is watkins and hudson...but guys like cannon, franklin, carpenter, rackley, ijalana, and love all project to guard after playing tackle as a college player

I thought Franklin was originally a Guard that was moved to tackle in college? Meaning his true position was always Guard. Watkins was a Left Tackle at Baylor.

franklin moved to OT his senior year i think .. but i rmbr an interview with him where he hinted he felt more comfortable at OG

there you go then, another example of a tackle that cant cut it at tackle....watkins played all over at baylor, but hes definitely a guard in the pros

franklin has ****** feet for an OT....i like him as a guard on most teams

I see you have Moore as the #1 safety, is he worth the 31st pick. I still contend that FS not CB is our #1 need, unless Mundy is the answer, assuming Ike comes back. I think a healthy McFadden, Ike and Butler at NB would be decent if we had a better FS.

K Train

i dont like him at 31, love him at 62 though and wouldnt be opposed to a trade up from 62 to the middle of the second

I wouldn't mind seeing the team snag Moore, but I am somewhat skeptical when it comes to players from UCLA. Also, where is Mike Mayock's love for Gilchrist coming from? I think he has him ranked at #2 behind Moore?

what is up with gilchrist so low? i like the dude .. mayock was saying last night he was a "bang the table" guy in rnd 2 ..

most of those safeties are 2nd-4th round picks....after that i dont really care for any cause its a patheitcally weak safety class and many of the safeties that come out of this draft are gonna be these guys are corners that cant handle being corners.

i like mcdaniel better than gilchrist, but its tough cause mcdaniel is one of the only SS on the llist, most of them project to FS
