The Cleveland Browns fired coach Eric Mangini on Monday following back-to-back 5-11 seasons.

Mangini met with Browns president Mike Holmgren on Monday in what many anticipated would mark the end the coach's tenure in Cleveland.

Browns won't ever be good no matter who they get.

I really hope that they do get a decent coach and become more competitive. Games like yesterday really are not that fun.

Me too...my African Grey didn't know how to act without hearing a few F bombs during the game. It was a boring Sunday! :yesnod:

Although I'll take a boring win any day over an exciting loss..especially the next 3 games!

Certainly, the Browns suck, but claiming that they'll never be good is a pretty bold statement :P

It was fun for me and I'm guessing from their statements a lot of the players.

Also from ESPN:

Holmgren As of right now, my job is to find the best coach available for this job. That's what I'm trying to do. And that does not include me right now.
