aaBEN ROETHLISBERGER
Quarterback
He picked a great time to play his best game of the season. Ben Roethlisberger did it all for the Steelers last Sunday against the Browns – he made the right decisions, he made all of the throws, he didn’t turn the ball over, he didn’t take any sacks, and most important of all, he got the ball into the end zone early and often.
The statistics were these: 15-of-22 for 280 yards with two touchdowns, no interceptions and a passer rating of 141.3, along with four rushes for 24 yards.
Roethlisberger is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.
Also considered were Mike Wallace, who caught three passes for 105 yards and a touchdown; Anthony Madison, who had a sack, an interception and a special teams tackle; Ziggy Hood, who had four tackles, including two for loss, and a sack; Rashard Mendenhall, who had 60 yards from scrimmage and two rushing touchdowns; and Troy Polamalu and Ryan Clark, the starting safeties who each had an interception that started the offense on a drive that ended with points.
