almost made it doesn't count anywhere. only thing about this game is another good team loses to these pricks(ne that is). imo makes our loss a little more bearable. jus sayin. he sure as hell tried though.

3 Ints says it all, Peyton cannot win the big game. 400 yds passing is very impressive but you just can't throw 3 picks against a good team and win. This was a fun game to watch since Brady got hit hard a few times.

The Colts losing improves the Steelers chances of getting a bye week and at the very worst the number 2 seed in the playoffs assuming they win the AFC North over the Ravens. At this point the Steelers need to root for the Jets to keep winning and to win that division over the Patriots so when they play them here in Pittsburgh next month they will have a chance to win the head to head tiebraker over them and still get that number 1 seed. At this point and time all things being equal it's going to be very hard for the Steelers to get that number 1 seed over the Patriots should they end up winning the East since they lost to them last week here...

Troybeast43 - I get your reasoning but I am mostly concerned about making the playoffs and that is why I cheered for the Pats today (damn near killed me). My logic is that we stay well ahead of Indy in case we do not win the North. I really think at this point whoever comes in 2nd in the east and north will be your 2 wildcard teams.

Indy will still win the South over the Jags even though they are in first now. The Jags still have to play all their division games on the road and play in New York on Sunday against the Giants in a game they will lose which will give them 5 losses. The Steelers are still in great shape to make the playoffs as long as they take care of their own business and win the games they should win and are suppose to win Buffalo,Cincy,Carolina, and Cleveland. Winning all those games gets them to 11 wins. Plus, having the head to head tiebraker now over wildcard contenders Miami,Tennessee, and Oakland, who are all 5-5 is huge for the Steelers as well. There is no way any of those teams will catch the Steelers at this point. The only teams the Steelers will have to hold off for a potential wildcard spot will be the Colts or Jags whoever doesnt win that division or the Chiefs or Chargers whoever doesnt win that division. Chargers already have 5 losses and go to Indy next week too so somebody will lose there as well and help us out even more.

Bad pass, but at least I can support the idea of going for the win. I'm surprised that Manning of all quarterbacks would force a pass like that, though. I wonder if all of the injuries to receivers is starting to catch up with Indy and these young guys aren't doing the right routes?
