The Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.nfl.com/teams/pittsburghsteelers/profile?team=PIT) added linebacker James Harrison to their injury report and listed him as questionable with back spasms.
The initial announcement Saturday didn't come from the Steelers, but rather their Sunday night opponents, the New England Patriots (http://www.nfl.com/teams/newenglandpatriots/profile?team=NE). The Steelers later confirmed that Harrison was questionable to play because of back spasms he developed Saturday morning.
Harrison hasn't missed a game this season, and he has 55 tackles and a team-high seven sacks.
The Patriots also reported Saturday night that Steelers safety Will Allen has been downgraded to doubtful (http://twitter.com/#%21/realpatriots/status/3641828742012928) because of a concussion

There is no doubt he is going to play, he'll take whatever pain killers they got or he'll just muscle thru the pain but you can bet your last dollar he's going to be out there come hell or high water.

He better not. And why the hell are the sorry Patriots reporting our probables? They need to worry about their own affairs.

their playing 5 rookies on defense and we are worried?? i thought it takes three years to play good in the 3-4 on defense.. billcheat must have a speed learning system for his defense.... oh... maybe thats why they are ranked 29th in defense... come on BA dial one up... the browns did...

No doubt Harrison will play, he'd have to be on a stretcher somewhere to not be on that field tonight. On paper we should be able to torch the Pats defense, but these games between us have been a wild affair over the years. There's no telling which team is going to show up for either side.

I agree, its very likely he will play. Unfortunately, back and neck spasms are an indication of another problem. They are the symptom not the disease. I am certain the Steelers are doing everything they can to check out and diagnose the actual difficulty and may need to err on the side of caution. We need to realize this may not be Harrison's call. Everyone be patient and we will find out at the last possible minute as I am also sure (like Tom Brady's chronic Right shoulder injury and now foot) a little gamesmanship is on the menu.
