Even though we only mustered up a total of 3 field goals in 60 minutes of play, there was some promising play on our offense. And no, it absolutely did not come from Dennis Dixon and his 2nd consecutive over-hyped performance (coddling). Check out our future Pro Bowl center Pouncey have his way with the Falcons interior line; even fighting his way to the 2nd level on quite a few plays.

LOL at the fact that I just got pretty much crucified and made fun of on another forum for 1) saying that evander Hood is in no way a 3-4 nose tackle and 2) that he isnt a great fit for this system...

Pouncey is more then solid........I have a man crush on him as well.......The Steelers finally have a center again......Since Hartings retired we had to sit through three seasons of Mahan and Hartwig.....yuck

Pouncey could become as good or better then dare I say Dermontti Dawson......Really I think the sky is the limit for Pouncey.........

I said he would be a beast from the time we picked him, because his college resume told me he was ready to start in the NFL, man i'm glad we dratfed him, he's only 20 and he's only going to get better each year, here's to the pro bowl Pouncey for years to come:tt02:

Pouncey will be a fixture anchoring our line well into the next decade barring any unforseen injuries. He has the skills and the intellectual bandwith to be amongst the Websters', Dawson's and Hartings of the world.

I heard Tomlin was joking with him telling him if his twin brother kept snapping the ball in the dirt that there was a good chance we could draft him late next year!

He's a breathe of fresh air on that line...

The guy who did this did a breakdown on every single offensive series and how the line performed here's the general idea.

Everytime a player fulfilled his assignment (or at least what his assignment appeared to be), he got a "Yes." When he didn't, he got a "No." Here it is:

http://www.steelersdepot.com/2010/09...alcons-week-1/
http://www.steelersdepot.com/2010/09...ly-a-big-deal/

Max Starks - 39 plays, 33 Yes, 6 No, 85% Yes
Chris Kemoeatu - 58 plays, 56 Yes, 2 No, 97% Yes
Maurkice Pouncey - 58 plays, 56 Yes, 2 No, 97% Yes
Trai Essex - 58 plays, 51 Yes, 7 No, 88% Yes
Flozell Adams - 58 plays, 46 Yes, 12 No, 79% Yes
Jonathan Scott - 19 plays, 16 Yes, 3 No, 84% Yes

extremely impressive from pouncey<3....and it made kemo oddly impressive and even essex might not be the worst guard on the planet

Yeah, good points. :yellowthumb: If you look at the percentage of Kemo and Essex, you can see how Pouncey is making them better. I would to see the breakdown with Hartwig in there.
