The first far-out prediction of the summer is upon us. In Sports Illustrated's 2010 NFL preview issue that goes on newstands Thursday, "Peter King predicts the Steelers will beat the Packers in this season's Super Bowl, 33-27". http://topics.dallasnews.com/article/0663dGo2b12uC

I have always liked Peter King. Hope he knows something about Bens suspension that we do not! Something good that is!

Well, just when we thought the Steelers would continue to fly under the radar....

Although I sincerely hope that he's right, I wouldn't put too much stock into any prediction made by Peter King. He hasn't been right since he picked Dallas to win in 1995. :banging:

Actually, I predicted the same thing. Not the final score, but I do see us beating Green Bay

It's nice and all but I just want to get to the first game myself :thud:

I still dont know my prediction. I don't know whether or not to exclude the Steelers yet. I gotta see a couple of games first.

Interesting.... King seems to really like the Pats and Ravens so i'm a bit surprised. I can see it though.:crossfingers:

Exactly, I think Peter King did this on purpose.

This guy is talking ****, who the hell would take the Steelers overall at the beginning of this season? lol There are too many AFC teams that are better fitted for some bullshit superbowl media hype then us right now. If we do hit the Superbowl and win it, it will have been predicted by nobody but Steeler fans! The Packers I would definitely agree with though, Rodgers is going to tear some **** up this year.

Its a good pick, and tough to argue with. Two good teams and it wouldn't shock anyone to see them in the big game. There are at least 12 teams that you could make a case for and this is two of them. king thinks the Steelers will be 2-2 after 4 games, and Ben will be fresh with 12 games to go. I think the pick is a good one.

It's fun to think about who's going to do what come next January and February, but nobody knows for sure..not even close. I do think Green Bay and the Saints are the favorite right now for the NFC, and depending on how well Favre holds up, the Vikings too.

The AFC is a crap shoot like it always is, there is no clear front runner by any means. The Colts will be in the mix I'm sure because they always are but beyond that it's anybody's guess.

Dude, I made sure I got him as my starting QB on my Fantasy team this year. :yellowthumb:

Our defense is definitely Super Bowl caliber. It's the offense - yes, even with Ben back after week 5 - that worries me. If the offense maintains some balance between the running game and the passing game I think they'll be in great shape. It's when Ben is passing 35+ times a game and passing in short yardage situations is when I'm worried. :/

lol you and me both. i took him with a 3rd over all pick. i'll take rodgers in a heart beat over MJD and frank gore. big ben is my 2nd QB and his first opponent is the browns in pittsburgh LOL what a day that's gonna be! definitely a good spring board to the superbowl!
