I live in the UK. I've recently split up from my partner, I'm now single and living life and I have decided it's about time I came over to Heinz Field to watch a game.

I'm looking to come over for the Cleveland game on 17th October 2010. Anyone got any information about how to get a ticket (other than the internet as they cost 200+), or a good place to stay??

check out HotWire.com for a place to stay. You will definitely save lots of money. We just booked a $180 hotel room at the wyndham for $107 for that same weekend. We are also going to the Oct 17th game at Heinz.

Stub hub. I went to a game 3 yrs ago and we stayed a little bit out of town and we got a taste of the burbs. Bars in these areas are a blast as well as downtown.

We were told by some locals that if you plan to go to a game try for a weeknight game (Monday or Thursday) as many of the locals skip some of these because game time is 8pm. We got tickets in the lower bowl in a end zone corner for a decent price.

Give yourself 3 days outside of game day to sight see. Canton, Around town, and don't miss the Carnegie History Museum, Bettis Bar-on Friday at 5pm - Bettis is on the Radio show, Hines Ward bar, Primantis. Ask locals they were awesome and very helpful finding things todo.

As the game gets closer you can look on Ebay as well..got great championship tickets there..Love the Doubletree downtown but it's a bit pricey but if you check often you ca fall into a bargain but as Lloyd says Hotwire is very good...

I get alot of tickets on Stubhub.com but you could also look on Clevelands website too..maybe they will sell them cheap too...since they suck and all!!
I got tickets to the Steelers/Tampa Bay game in Tampa for $99 each in the 2nd level..since the Bucs suck.

PS - If anyone lives close to Heinz Field and could offer cheap accomodation and food....
I'm a perfect English gentleman and a police detective (ie not a psycho killer). I'm hoping to arrange a drive along with Pittsburgh Police whilst I'm there.

One thing you could try that would be cheap would be a hostel...I dont' know anything about them but I know my friends who fly abroad stay in alot of them. I'm not sure of the requirements but you could check them out.
