Training camp starts today as players report for the start of the 2010 campaign! Still no official word on when Pouncey will get his deal done, but last I heard they were in marathon talks and getting closer to a deal to hopefully get him into Latrobe this weekend.

I hope we get Pouncey signed soon too but I'd rather have the Woodley contract inked first.

Steelers agree to terms with Maurkice Pouncey
Posted by Mike Florio on July 30, 2010 2:27 PM ET

The Steelers have struggled on the offensive line of late, and they addressed their deficiencies by devoting their first-round pick to center Maurkice Pouncey.

Per a league source, Pouncey has agreed to terms, and he is on the way to camp.

Pouncey was the 18th pick in the draft.* His contract became easy to finalize given that the player taken in front of him (49ers guard Mike Iupati) and directly behind him (Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon) recently inked their rookie deals.

Financial terms aren't yet available, but it's safe to say Pouncey got much more than $100,000.

of course he signed. lets get goin' here

Steelers agreed to terms with rookie G/C Maurkice Pouncey, the No. 18 overall pick, on a five-year contract.
Pouncey's position is still uncertain, but he's expected to be an Opening Day starter at right guard or center. The 2009 Rimington Award winner is considered strong both in terms of pass protection and run blocking. His addition will boost an offensive line coming off a tumultuous offseason. Just got a tweet about it as well. No official word yet on the terms but it's believed to be about an 18 million dollar deal with 10.5 million guaranteed, 5 years contract.

An offensive line of Pouncey,Starks,Adams,Kemo, and Foster is the best 5 the Steelers could go with in my opinion...Those 5 there would be a solid offensive line indeed...

I agree. Gentlemen, I think we will see the reappearance of the running game this year! Hahaha. And offensive balance for sure!

Browns RB Montario Hardesty May Miss A Couple of Weeks
Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini announced that second round running back Montario Hardesty twisted his knee and may miss a couple of weeks.

During his college career, Hardesty tore his ACL as a freshman, and has undergone three procedures on his knee. That injury, as well as other leg and ankle injuries, prevented Hardesty from becoming a starter at the University of Tennessee until his senior season.

Mangini said the latest injury is unrelated to his knee issues in college.

Hardesty, who signed a four-year, $3.372 million dollar contract last week, was expected to push Jerome Harrison for carries this summer.

I hate training camp injuries. Man I wish there were a way to get around them.

Here's hoping we have no more injuries in camp or pre-season!
