I have you guys going 8-8. I know thats hard for you guys to hear, But with bad corners, injury prone SS, Older DL, Plus the bad OL, subpar WR's, Big Ben Suspended. Things could get ugly.

I think 8-8 is fair with Big Ben's suspension.....We think it will just be 4 games but we still don't know for sure.....If its 6 games then 8-8 is best case record wise......

I don't see the Steelers losing week 1 in Pittsburgh.......I think the team will be pumped week 1 and to kick-off the season at home......Plus its the Falcons....The Falcons are a good team but they're not unbeatable......But I do think this is coin flip game.....I just like the homefield for week 1........

The Steelers usually struggle with the Titans and winning in Tenn. will be no easy task.....But the Titans have their own issues to.....The Titans probably will win but this is another coin flip game....

The Steelers will beat the Bucs........

The Ravens game without Ben probably will be a loss.......

I'm hoping for 3-1 if Ben is just suspended 4 games.....But 2-2 is more likely.......

Sorry Dawgs the Browns got their win against the Steelers last year.....Its time again for the Steelers to continue their dominance of the Browns.....Steelers will sweep the Browns this year......

I see the Steelers splitting games both with the Bengals and Ravens.......

I think the Steelers can win in Miami........I think the Steelers win in Buffalo......I think they lose in New Orleans........

The Steelers should beat both Oakland and Carolina at home....But the Steelers lost in Pittsburgh to Oakland last year.....Big Ben is 0-2 against the Raiders....lol

Steelers could lose both to the Pats and Jets in Pittsburgh.......I think they will beat the Pats and lose to the Jets though.......

This team could win just 6 games worst case or 10-11 best case if Big Ben is just suspended 4 games........which I think will be the case Big Ben probably will just miss 4 games......:crossfingers:

lol at the 12-4 season. Deluded at it's best.

The best they can get is a 10-6. and then have a 12-4 performence in the playoffs.

7-9, 8-8

Im thinking: split w/ afc north (at worst) 3 losses plus possible losses w/ Atl, Ten, NO. NE, NYJ. So thats 8-8 at worst, 10-6 at best... those are my realistic expectations.

7 -9 if leftwich starts ben starts game 5 rusty...

10-6 if dixon starts, ben comes back in game 6 after dixon plays some good QB...

this gives ben two weeks to practice and get into game speed and starts the last 10 games.

5-1 in the division with a loss at home to Cincy cause that seems to be a ritual. Thats enough to take the AFCN crown and an Auto playoff bid. 13-3 cause im a "delusional-blind-homer"

1 Sunday 9/12/10 Atlanta Falcons 1:00 PM Win, we dont lose home openers!
2 Sunday 9/19/10 @ Tennessee Titans 1:00 PM Win, this is a rivalry that has new life from the Oilers days!!!
3 Sunday 9/26/10 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1:00 PM Win, no contest!
4 Sunday 10/3/10 Baltimore Ravens 1:00 PM Win, we should have beat BAL twice once with Dixon at the helm. they are older on D (and over-rated esp. w.out Reed) boldin is a help but Flacco is owned by the steelers!
5 OPEN 10/10/10 BYE OPEN 4-0 at the break and Ben is BACK
6 Sunday 10/17/10 Cleveland Browns 1:00 PM Win
7 Sunday 10/24/10 @ Miami Dolphins 1:00 PM Win
8 Sunday 10/31/10 @ New Orleans Saints 8:20 PM Lose, in a close one (think 08 IND game at home)
9 Monday 11/8/10 @ Cincinnati Bengals 8:30 PM Monday Win, MNF at CIN... thats a W
10 Sunday 11/14/10 New England Patriots 8:20 PM Lose, close but brady owns hienz field, hate to say! He's only lost there once!
11 Sunday 11/21/10 Oakland Raiders 1:00 PM Win, we finally beat the RAIDERS lol
12 Sunday 11/28/10 @ Buffalo Bills 1:00 PM Win
13 Sunday 12/5/10 @ Baltimore Ravens 8:20 PM Win, seal the division
14 Sunday 12/12/10 Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 PM Lose, CIN fighting for a playoff spot and they do well at Hienz
15 Sunday 12/19/10 New York Jets 4:15 PM WIN, and WIN big... Holmes is suspended again by this point!
16 Thursday 12/23/10 Carolina Panthers 8:20 PM Win
17 Sunday 1/2/11 @ Cleveland Browns 1:00 PM Win

On Sunday, I never think we will lose, so my pride says 16-0, but my offseason brain says 11-5.

Ben - lay off the fast food before your comeback and for the love of everything sacred - Troy and A Smith please stay healthy.

It's all up to our D.

Our offense is going to be absolute **** next year. Pouncey, as a rookie, is not going to make up for the loss of Colon and Emmanuel Sanders and Randle El are not going to make up for the loss of Santonio. Combine that with the fact we have Leftwich starting for 4 games. Expect a huge drop in yards and points (and no, Dixon is not the solution either).

If our D is anything like it was last year, I can see us going 5-11 (worst case scenario).

I see where you coming from... i agree the D is gonna have to shoulder this load to have a playoff season! But I agree with "Real Deal Steel" and think our PASSING game will be pretty damn good during Bens suspension. Lefty sets up in the pocket, doesnt move and delivers the ball in a hurry. He isnt going to scramble, he isnt gonna get cute in the pocket... hes gonna set up and fire according to the amount of time he has which i think will be limited til this line gels.

Not knocking Ben at all... i like how he can scramble and make plays, thats what makes him great. But i think there are times where he could have hit the check down's and/or we could have had a man open early and he tried to scramble for the BIG play. I think/hope watching Lefty drop five yards and sling it MAY help show Ben an added dimension to his game we havent seen since playoffs 06!

cut the OL crap players.
start dixon to get the experience he needs. if he is good, trade him for a great pick and get a CB. then play leftwich as #2 next year.

then see what happens.

is that what you kinda mean? or just play the year out and go 5-11?

then get the #6 pick.

i dont think the offense is going to be too bad honestly....i think foster/scott will play fine for colon and i think its more up to wallace to replace holmes than sanders/el...hopefully they can replace wallace and play that nate washington role

mendenhall will play out of his mind and with any luck dwyer earns himself alot of playing time. while i dont expect the first 4-6 weeks to be lighting up the sky, i think ben plays pissed off when he gets back and doesnt lose many games if any. reports are indicating his in fantastic shape. the biggest key to the success of the offense is getting hartwig the **** out of there....11 sacks given up for a center is unheard of and not getting any push in the run game up the middle KILLS the offense. 3 sacks given up by a center is alot, 11 is unheard of

My fear with this year is that BA's game plans are opposite, for example, if we play the worst rushing defense in the league, we pass a lot, or if we play the best run defense in the league, we try and run against them. So, I am a little afraid of the game plans while Ben is out. It may work in that people will expect us to run alot and we will come out throwing. But, if the QB isnt ready, our offense could look worse than it is because of a bad game plan.

K Train

heres the thing though, if they stack the run leftwich is a pretty good downfield passer im assuming hes gonna start and in spot duty 2 years ago leftwich was very quick and decisive. he even looked somewhat thin and nimble. mendenhall is an improved blocker and reciever, wallace is a guy you just dont want running down field on you (think back to alot of his catches last year, he actually had to come back to the ball...leftwich has more arm strength than ben so he can make teams pay)

and i think leftwich's best friend will be heath miller...just to put it in perspective, heath makes it look easy. the man has great hands, expect a big year from him finally

realistically arians has to know his head is on the chopping blcok with all the rumors of him being fired its now or never for him to grow as a coach. mendenhalls success will be key and honestly we have decent run blockers as long as hartwig and essex are backups. i am really expecting 4 weeks for ben, if they can survive those 4 weeks respectably and get decent production out of the run game when they know its gnna be a heavy dose of it, the run game will blow up when ben gets back

this will happen. BA being fired will be better for the team than our #1 draft pick next year. thats why i say dixon will start as he has the capability of making plays out of nothing with his legs. like ben does with his duck/spin/turn/fake pump/run thing..

i hope dixon gets a fair chance, they are gay for the experience factor though...i think leftwich gets every opportunity to win the job over dixon. arians isnt creative enough for dixon anyway hed probably call plays like hes dealing with peyton manning

The defense will carry us the first 4 games of the season and we should be no worse than 3-1. The only loss will be to the Ravens (maybe)! Then when BB comes back we will only lose 4 games at most so i think 11-5 should be about right!!

LatrobePA

Trade Arians for a used jock strap, start dixon and allow him to be himself. Run the f'n ball down their throats..

Our D will be licking their chops to make up for last year, look out!

If this defense is healthy with the return of BMac and Troy being healthy full a whole season as well as Aaron Smith they will be solid once again and carry this Steelers team to a lot of wins. This defense will have a huge chip on their shoulder as a result of what happened last year with all of the 4th quarter meltdowns. Dont look for that to happen again. I think adding a guy like Jason Worilds to this linebacking core will only make this defense that much better and that much stronger at linebacker. BTW good to be back on the boards here it's been awhile since I have posted. Look forward to camp starting on Friday I cant wait...
