Wondering if anyone knows if the CBA situation in the nfl has anything to do with pouncey and worilds not being signed yet. The steelers had all of the other draft picks signed over a month ago. I can usually understand the top pick waiting to the last few days before camp starts, but i don't really remember anyone but the top pick still unsigned this late. The steelers have never had major problems signing their draft picks ,which is why i'm wondering if it has something to do with the cba. While i really dread the possibility of a lockout if it means no more salary cap then the owners need to stand firm and bring in replacements if necessary.. lets hope they can figure a way to divvy up a few billion dollars...GO STEELERS:tt02:

Woodley signed his contract in late July when he signed (today in fact, July 18). Its pretty normal for the first 2 round picks to take a little longer. It has nothing to do with the CBA.

no first round picks are signed yet in the NFL.....its common for every team to have their first round picks not signed this time of year........I'm sure a week before camp we will hear Pouncey and Worilds will be signed or close to signing....

thats so easy to say, hindsight is a bitch.

we should have taken dockett in the second, cooley in the third, jared allen in the 4th, stacey andrews in the 5th, michael turner in the 6th and shane olivea in the 7th....thats would have been a great draft, but at the time coclough wasnt a bad pick, let alone retared.

how old were you back then? 10?

Sanders wasn't picked in the first round because of his size and yes an injury, Colclough was never going to be good.

Because I was 10 I didn't know which prospects were going to be good or bad, your really an idiot.

sanders is still too small, and still hurt all the time, probably more than any player in the league who would be considered top 10 at their position

coclough was a very highly touted small school prospect, kind of like AOA and DRC and had pretty incredible measurables and upside...he went right around where he was supposed to, he just ended up being unable to develop....but you take guys like him based on potential to take such a good skill set and refine it

bob sanders:

Michael Lombardi of NFL.com reports that there is some concern Colts strong safety Bob Sanders might never be able to play football again, with his shoulder and bicep issues. He reduced his contract, but his rehab has been slow. The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year has only played in more than six regular season games twice (2005 and 2007) in his five years with the Colts, and even in their Super Bowl year, he only played four games during the regular season.

www.nfl.com

yeah it would be awesome to have a player who has played in more than half a season once or twice

Yeah but if he wasn't a Colt those injuries may of never happened, same for Ben Roethlisberger's rape cases.

Colclough was gonna suck, it was evident from day 1.

him being a colt has nothing to do with it, thats an easy defense to play it probably helped him more than anything...hes a bullet and doesnt have the frame or mass to pull of that style of play. hes got such great instincts, such good ability and is a damn near perfect form tackler....but hes a smurf and cant handle football at a professional level.

you just make yourself look like you know nothing, you bring little to nothing to the table and the fact that you say coclough sucked since day one really impressed me that you were such a good judge of pro talent at the age of 10. i guarantee you had no idea where RC went to school before you googled it today

Actually I did, the Madden games, when I always had to release that ******* his college, age and name showed up as we all know on the screen, it was something like Tulane but it defintiely starts with a T.

I azm not claiming to know much about RC but i am pretty sure he didn't go to Tulane. If i am not mistaken I don't even think he went to a D-1 school. But then again I might be wrong

Tusculum, they are hit and miss the small school guys. We hit pretty good with nate washinton from tiffin, and i was hoping we took a chance on AOA from IUP. to say coclough wasnt a good prospect with a very high ceiling is wrong though, sure its easy to say hes always sucked since he fell flat on his face in the pros but he was a pretty coveted prospect back then
