Rapper Eminem makes Roethlisberger reference in song
Thursday, April 29, 2010
By Scott Mervis, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Just as the Ben Roethlisberger story is simmering down, rapper Eminem is stirring it up.

In a new song called "Despicable," Eminem includes the line, "[Expletive that], I'd rather turn this club into a bar room brawl. Get as rowdy as Roethlisberger in a bathroom stall."

It's a reference, of course, to the accusation by a 20-year-old college student that the Steelers' quarterback sexually assaulted her in a Milledgeville, Ga., nightclub. No charges were filed, but Roethlisberger has been suspended for six games by the NFL.

"Despicable" is an Eminem freestyle, which will not appear on his forthcoming album "Recovery." The rapper has sold 78 million albums worldwide, and his last record, "Relapse," entered the charts at No. 1 and was the top-selling rap album of 2009. For more, go to Scott Mervis' pop music blog.

failing career eh?

Eminem has eleven Grammy Awards. He has been praised for having "verbal energy", high quality of lyricism and has been ranked at number nine on MTV's list of The Greatest MCs of All Time,In 2003 he was listed as number thirteen on MTV's 22 Greatest Voices in Music and number 82 on Rolling Stone's "The Immortals". In 2008, the readers of Vibe Magazine voted him "The Best Rapper Alive". He was also named "Best Rapper Ever" taking down all opponents very easily in a poll which was conducted by music fans on the Vibe website.

Don't forget he also got into arguement with Elton John. As well as a muppet. also the Borat guy rubbed his balls in Eminems face.

just saying he doesn't have a failing career and him and Elton John are friends after he helped him stop using drugs and the other stuff was just jokes and like someone said Ben puts himself in the situations so he can be ripped on. It was a good freestyle he didn't put it out there it was leaked like the rest of his album and has been removed. Maybe Elton John should help Ben lay off the booze.

Eminem has made a career out of making fun of celebrities and referencing them in his songs..see "The Warning" and "We Made You" for examples. Whatever, it's one line. Who cares.
