Jim Wexel of Steel City Insider:

At this point, the site's reporting that the Steelers have signed Daryll Clark, QB, Penn State; Ciron Black, OT, LSU; Andre Dixon, RB, UConn; Damon Cromartie-Smith, S, UTEP; A.J. Trump, OT, Miami; and Cordarrow Thompson, DE, Virginia Tech.

UPDATE: Couple of quick notes: The web site linked to below has pulled Daryll Clark and Andre Dixon off its list of Steelers UDFAs, and Ed Thompson of Scout.com reports the Steelers have signed North Carolina OT Kyle Jolley.

I saw on another scouting site that Dorian Brooks, G, James Madison was also signed. Like the Ciron Black signing. Also Cromartie-Smith looks interesting. Read a little about him on another site. Big guy for safety. This just makes this year's draft even better. Lots of competition this year. Only makes us better.

I can remember years ago when everyone on the steelers line could run. Back when they pulled and trapped block. Would always see linemen down field blocking on running plays. Too bad now a days its put the biggest slowest guys on face of the earth as long as they can protect the $100 million QB. My point was years ago we could have just put an extra lineman in the back field to act as a FB b/c they wasn't slow.
