Just read a Tweet saying that Colon's agent is trying to gauge how serious the 49ers and Packers are in him. Has anyone else heard anything. The tweet came from Steelers Depot, I think. Or any other of our RFA's for that matter

I would LOVE if niners took Colon... Quite a few tackles in this draft who'll be better than Colon as a RT imo.

meh now with the glaring hole at WR, FS, C, RG, and LT we dont really need one at RT too

you can remove LT from that list. They like Starks, and he is here to stay, like it or not.

It would depend for me, I think if the 49ers got him, we could get someone at 13 that could start RT day 1, it would be the Packers that I think would hurt, their 1st round is too late

no doubt...whats the point in getting rid of our best lineman just to draft his replacement? it would be a different story if we had someone behind Colon that we were confident in playing at RT...

Him being our best lineman does not mean he is a good lineman... I like Colon a lot, but i think at 13 we could get Davis who could start at RT day one and be as good if not better than Colon :imho:

He has a 1st round tender, but we'll probably ship him away for another fifth.

if we were to get 13 for him we could get Earl Thomas or Joe Haden at 13 and possibly Anthony Davis at 18...Id be for that

Exactly. Packers would **** me off big time! It would just make this years offseason worse than i ever thought possible.

I think if the Packers offered him, we would have to match the offer and keep him

willie colon is good but i dont see the 9ers giving up a top 15 pick for him

they have a HUGE hole at RT....it might be better for them than taking iupati and hoping he can play it, or hoping trent williams falls to them which i doubt

true that just seems like a high price for colon

that would be ROI.

draft colon in the 5th, get a first.

while holmes deal was the exact opposite

the holmes deal would make this lateral move since we need a WR now

A first round pick for Colon wouldn't be bad at all in my opinion.

ya but the steelers with 2 first round picks u know they would trade out of one of them

i agree with thomas at 13, i disagree with davis at 18, i dont like his work ethnic.

wouldnt mind brandon graham.

as for colons agent with the packers, i hope he accidently cuts his tongue off. asswipe making our offseason worse

the 49's have 2 1st round picks and if they did take him they prob give us the 17th not the 13th

davis had terrible coaching at rutgers and it never affected his play, over analysis

I'm pretty sure Colon was a 4th rounder but i get the point.......yea a first round pick for a second day player would be good deal....but like you said it would also mean plugging another hole........But two first round picks could plug a couple holes.....

Ben's good at plugging holes. Maybe he can run the draft room!
