That was the most uninformative press conference I have seen. We all know Ben has earned the DUMB award of the year, guilty or innocent.

makes you wonder why they even held a conference......:evilshake:

I was not surprised by it. Why would they reveal anything at this point? The investigation is still ongoing.

One way or another the way things are coming out in this case it seems like this one looks a lot worse for Ben then the McNutty case did...

at this point there is no evidence to say it happened or didnt...all we have is he said, she said and a lot of sexual assault cases are just that, whether it happened or not...I really dont see any criminal charges coming Bens way...

What did we expect him to say? He hasn't been charged with anything yet, and if he does at this point it's a misdemeanor at best so it's not like we're talking a felony here. Relax people, it's not the end of the world. Does Ben have to get his act together, absolutely!! Having said that lets not go crazy in thinking he should have said more for something he hasn't been formally charged with yet.

The fact that the friends of this girl in Georgia are coming forward with statements about how this girl has a clean image and wouldnt make something like this up, and is not the kind of girl that is just out to get Ben for money is not a good sign early on for Ben's case. There are a lot more people out there to back this girl up this time around and her story then there were for the McNutty case last year.

And because this girls friends would NEVER lie for her if she was in trouble? yeah right? You can come up with a 101 people to confirm your story if you really want too. The fact is nobody can prove Ben did anything yet, everybody is really taking this way too far when we know nothing more than we did when this surfaced yesterday.

The fact that Ben hired a good lawyer is just common sense; and covering all the bases here. We really can't read anymore into it than that right now. If more comes out in this investigation then there will be plenty of time to lynch him for everyone to have their fill. Until then, lets just wait and see.

That means absolutelty nothing...what her friends say about her doesnt mean anything...unless they find Ben's love juice on her or a security cam catches something, nothing is going to happen....its he said, she said....no evidence = no case, even if something happened...its just the way it is...

Exactly and they will dismiss this case just like the last one and then Ben can think one more time that he is untouchable and go do something stupid like this again because that's what Ben is STUPID!!! If Ben doesnt clean up his act and learn from this this time around then maybe the plates holding his brain together from the motorcycle accident are coming loose...

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP)—A high-profile defense attorney hired by Pittsburgh Steelers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/pit/;_ylt=AortEZoSRh9wWt.A.rCJVBUdsLYF) quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6770/;_ylt=AmwvMaiM.PoWWccB1HBwcxgdsLYF)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6770/news;_ylt=AqC_CtfS9ZmBwU4imrTYLjsdsLYF) on Monday disputed a college student’s claim that the two-time Super Bowl winner sexually assaulted her at a Georgia nightclub.
The 20-year-old told police Roethlisberger, who had been out barhopping with friends, assaulted her early Friday. Roethlisberger has not been charged.
“The facts show that there was no criminal activity. No sexual assault occurred,” attorney Ed Garland said in a statement Monday. “Ben is completely innocent of any crime.”
Milledgeville police said at a press conference that they expect to interview Roethlisberger in the next several days. They said they have not taken a DNA sample from him but probably will.
Authorities also said the woman has hired an attorney, though they would not identify him or her. The woman’s name has not been released.
They expect to interview about eight people and said they are reviewing video footage obtained from several businesses. They declined to elaborate.
“The investigation is ongoing. It would be premature to make any announcement at this time,” said Fred Bright, district attorney for the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit. “When the facts are in and a decision is made, we will let you know.”
Roethlisberger, who owns a home about 30 miles north of Milledgeville on Lake Oconee, is also being sued by a woman who claims he raped her in 2008 at a hotel-casino in Lake Tahoe hotel and casino, an allegation he strongly denies.
Steelers President Art Rooney II said in a statement Monday that the team is closely monitoring the Milledgeville situation.
“All of us in the Steelers family are concerned about the recent incident involving Ben Roethlisberger in Georgia,” the statement said. “We cannot comment on any of the specifics until law enforcement’s investigation is concluded.”
Garland, Roethlisberger’s new attorney, previously represented rapper T.I. on a federal weapons charge and Baltimore Ravens (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/bal/;_ylt=AnETm3Fm1AWrnM7bKjntOCUdsLYF) linebacker Ray Lewis (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/3542/;_ylt=Aq6NXDoAAd5XNUS8ZAxjxlIdsLYF)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/3542/news;_ylt=Ar5_tgtocBPxkyONxWuKf6EdsLYF) in a murder case. More serious charges against Lewis were dropped and he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor obstruction of justice charge.

And why is she getting a lawyer? The DA will prosecute him fully if they find evidence against him? She would only need a lawyer if it is a civil suit.

Everyone has skeletons in their closet...I"ve never met a perfect person yet. If she's that innocent well then I"m still a virgin! I mean I hope it's not true, I would hate for anyone to endure sexaul assault but this just doesn't make sense to me....I don't want anyones life to be ruined by this.

I'm not saying Ben didn't do anything, but this girl's friends make her out to be a Saint. She is 20 years old hanging out in a club. Last I checked, you need to be 21. Yeah, she never lied or did anything wrong before.
