i would like to see a breakdown of shotgun... (empty set vs. RB/TE)

Yeah, thats a nice chart, but it doesnt take everything into account. For example, if Ben is sacked and it becomes 3rd and really long, he is going to be in the gun, but no team completes 3-15+ all the time. Also, Ben threw a few picks at the end of the half when trying the hail mary to end the half. There are a few more factors that need to be considered. Like he had more yards per completion out of the gun, than under center. Stuff like that should be considered.

I would be perfectly happy if we didn't use the 3-wide formation at all on early downs as that formation basically tells the defense that we're going to pass (especially when Mewelde replaces Rashard). Keeping the base 2 WR, 2 TE formation at least makes the D actually think.
