Not nearly on the level of BR-7 of course but it's a start. I can't figure out how to do the 3D look with the semi transparent oval yet, in PSP.

the specs are a tad off, but that's not a big deal to fix, just gotta get that transparent 3D look going.

Thoughts ?

Not bad. I know there is/are tuts for other graphics progs, like Gimp, PSP, Fireworks, etc. The site isn't loading atm for me. It's been so long since I used PSP, I wouldn't know where to start.

I was just at the bookstore yesterday looking at the technical books and there is tons of stuff on Adobe Photoshop but unfortunatley not to much on PSP, hopefully with the help of the book I got on web design and layout and my limited PSP graphical ability I'll be able to get thejr.net back up and running looking alot better than it did...

I have a book on PSP around here somewhere I think. Use to anyways. I'll see if I can find it sometime and let you know what it says.

If this is the effect your talking about I figured out a way to do it, there may be an easier way but I got it to work none the less

I added a top layer and made the top half white, I then went under effects-distorsion-lens distorsion and used fisheye with field of view at 150. I then used the deform tool and dragged sides to far edges of the userbar and the middle of the fisheye down to about a 1/4 from the bottom. I then merged the new floating ellipse down with the half white top layer and changed the opacity to 20.

Hope that makes some kind of sense lol.

Damn that's a lot of steps!

I have the font for the lettering, that's not a problem its that damn texture. I'll be content if I can figure it out based your instructions to atleast get the 3D look for now.

Ya i reckon there is an easier way to do it but I got it to work that way, you could just use the selection, ellispse then fill it with white and then change the opacity. I would assume that would work too

Got the UB.com page to load and found this for the PSP users..

I think the order of the layers are wrong... the text should be over the "semi-transparent" elipse.
