Hey can someone that lives in Pittsburgh find out if Troy is done for the year? I just read on Steelers Fever that Troy tore his ACL/MCL and is done for the year.

I havent heard anything on the post game's yet about it! That would just be the icing on the cake on a perfectly terrible season.

 That would suck!!!

Well Troy would be ****ed for next year. It takes a year to fully recover from those type of injuries.

Let's not get too worried till get some validity to that.... I just watched some of BC's press conference and nothing was mentioned of it.

I heard that it was mentioned by Bill Hargrove.

Im listening to the Steelers radio network now, I'll keep you posted if they mention this.

Just heard on Steelers Hotline that Bill Cowher is calling it a "significant knee injury" , he's likely gone for the year.

Hey TG how are you listening to it? Online by chance?

Now bro, 93.5 WTPA is out of Harrisburg and part of the Steelers radio network. I listen to all the games with Tunch and Bill while I watch. I didnt hear Bill Hillgrove mention this though but Steelers Hotline just mentioned it.

I watched the whole game, and saw, or heard nothing indicating that Troy was injured in any way.

Watching FSN live right now. I'll post up with any updates they might say.
11-26-2006, 10:29 PM
Nothing on FSN live yet on it. Nothing on the internet other than that Cowher said, "Troy might have a significant knee injury".
We'll have to wait till the media sites update tonight at midnight and then check tomorrow after the MRI.

You can watch the press conference here.

Update on Troy, its not as bad as we feared.
BALTIMORE ---- Troy Polamalu will miss his first pro football game when the Steelers return home to play Tampa Bay Sunday.
He probably also will miss the Cleveland game Dec. 7 with a sprained medial collateral ligament. No surgery will be required.
Polamalu, a two-time Pro Bowl strong safety, left the game yesterday in the third quarter after getting tangled up in a pileup, when his left knee was injured.
Polamalu said after the game he is hopeful he will return to play this season.
"I'm definitely optimistic about it," Polamalu said.
This is absolutely awesome news that its only a sprain and that he'll be back before the season is out. Best of all, no surgery required !
Thank God !!!!!!!!!!!

That is great news! Finally something good!

Very relieved to hear that Troy is not as bad as I have been hearing...which was potentially career ending. Whenever he is able to play....an amazing talent and one that our team needs....

If he'd have really blown his ACL/MCL this late in the season it would have affected his availability for next year too. Im so glad he's gonna be alright.
11-27-2006, 12:51 AM
Much better news then what was being predicted before!
11-27-2006, 01:13 AM

I think we all need to kneel down and Praise the Lord this wasn't any worse than they was saying. WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is certainly one of the most stubborn, wacky, confusing season I've ever experienced in my 22 years as a Steelers fan.
