Depends on what he wants, if he will play for little money, then yes, and we can cut him next season if he doesnt work out. We have had better field position off of kickoffs with him. So I say if he is cheap sign him, you can always cut him if we dont need him next season.

:yesnod: Without a doubt, this kid has a bright future ahead of him.

Sure why not... Half way point i was calling for "the ax" but he hung in there and started to produce more.

Yes they should offer him a contract. Maybe we should also consider resigning FWP and use him on special teams as well.

He signed a two year deal so he is under contract...it really all depends on what we do in Free agency(nothing) and the draft...if we end up drafting someone who is a good return man and a position player than there would be no point in keeping a specialist...

Tomlin already said he wants Logan to get some touches on offense. He'll be back.

FWP on ST's? He runs like he has a load of crap in his pants, that would never work. He isn't that fast anymore!

Resign him? Ok....

Resign him and put him on special teams? No...

There's a few reasons why:

1) Willie is afraid of the ball...or atleast it looks that way in the passing game...
2) he can't catch anyway...
3) he trips over himself half the time
4) he's just fast...he's not decisive enough anymore and isn't great at reading blocks.

Keeping Logan on the team is a no brainer; the kid is super quick and really just continued to improve as the season went on. By the time we hit mid November and into December he was on fire; I fully expect him to be the man next year and free us up from having to look elsewhere in the return game. You can bet your last dollar he'll want paid pretty nicely after 2010 if he has as good a year as 2009. He broke the team record for return yards, that should be more than enough to say this dude is the guy.

I dont see why they dont use him more in the offense?

He's in there every once in a while...One touch all season is not enough.

Signing Logan is really a no brainer. The kid had an amazing last 5 games. We literally started at the 40 at least yesterday after almost every single kickoff. The first priority, however, is signing Hampton. We need to keep him.

We definitely need to sign Casey....something like 3 years 21 Mil...But after seeing what Haynesworth got, I doubt 7 mil a year will be enough...

They signed Logan to a 2 year deal... so he is under contract.
He did get better throughout the season and with a little better blocking on the return teams, we should have one of the top return games next year.

Does anyone else want to return to the days of Santonio Holmes fumbling every kickoff he could get his hands on..or not get his hands on? I don't. Logan is great as a return man, and I'd like to see what he would do on offense. There's no way they let him go after his contract is up.

That was santonio's rookie year...since then he's been great as a situational punt returner...he has grown tremendously since his rookie year and is a legitimate big play threat every time he touches the ball....

And I don't think you can call Stefan a "great" return man just yet...Josh Cribbs is a great return man, DeSean Jackson is a great return man, Devin Hester was a great return man...Stefan has been very solid and a complete upgrade over last season but you can't call him great yet....

I didn't mean Holmes specifically, I meant who could possibly be coming in if Logan were to leave. And he has more return yards than any Steeler retun man ever, and he accomplished that in his rookie year. As a Steeler fan, whose seen too many kickoff/punt return mistakes, I consider Stefan Logan great.

Yeah, we should keep Logan for sure. I loved having Logan back there, he actually had potential to return kicks.

Anyone remember Gary Russell/Mewelde Moore returning kicks? automatic start from 20! Keep Logan.

keep him unless they decide to draft trindon holliday as a return specialist, he did good for us this year imo

I agree he's far from great, he's good and they should keep him but don't use the word great.
