Getting shut out and shut down by the Ratbirds !! This team is truely bad in every sense of the word. We are by far the worst team in Cowher's history of coaching. We cannot do anything, and for the defending super bowl champions it is absolutely disgusting to see a display like that.

For everything that we've tried to do all year, for everything we had hopes for this season, it's saddens me to see a team like ours fall like this in 2006.

i'm still amazed at how much the team changed in the course of 1 offseason. the offensive line brought EVERYONE back from last year, they look pathetic. if i were BC at this point you have nothing to lose. bench hartings and marvel smith at the very least.

This is absolutely the worst Steeler team in modern history !! And as you mentioned for a team that is largely unchanged from last year it just blows my mind to see them playing so bad !

Anywhere I can listen to BC's post game press conference?

NFL network is running clips here and there from all of them.

BC stated in the 5 minute segment they just showed that the game today was "pathetic and dissapointing" "I take full responsibility for it" "All we can do is try to go out and play the rest of this thing out this year, its our responsibility to do that"

If Rooney had the balls to do it ... he needs to get on the cell with Cowher tonight, ask of his intentions about coaching next year (or longer), if Cowher starts him-hawing around ....tell him to take a ****king walk now!

The way the coaching has been this year I wouldn't blame Mr. Rooney if he did it, but he won't.

Yep Mr. Rooney won't. The Rooney family is loyal to a fault. Coach Cowher has a great run as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. But all great things have to come to a end at sometime. Its time to end the Bill Cowher era. Hopefully he retires after this season.

Players are getting older and the bench strength sucks. The last 4 drafts don't lie, decent players in round one but after that is a crap shoot. Day 2 is pathetic. ST's suck partly because there is little talent on the bench. :willybs:

Take a good look at that list ..... 5 starters and 14 players on roster in the past 4 draft years! .... :banging:

Should Colbert get more blame?

I look at good drafting teams like the Pats and Ravens. Pats O-line is a bunch of guys drafted in round 3, 4, 6 etc... Our mid round O-line picks absolutely suck!

They get Asante Samuel in round 4, we get Colclough in round 2. the Ravens beat our *** with Bart Scott's and some mid/late round CB's and FS.

I don't care who you are .... you just need to take 1 look at this list and give both Colbert and Cowher the blame for the current abysmal state of the Steelers.

I'd have to say the blame falls on Cowher especially after the war he had with Tom Donahue.

Don't forget BC has a BIG say in who we draft. Don't just lay it all on Cowher. As stubborn as he is with play calling and personnel; he is just as stubborn with drafting who he wants ultimately.
