That would be our 2006 season folks. The the playoffs are gone, all we can do is play for pride and be spoilers right now.

The best we could hope for is 9-7, and that is no way going to make a wild card the way the AFC is shaping up. We had the chance today, the chance to gain a game in the AFCN, a chance to show the heart of a champion and beat the division leaders and hated rivals, but once again we didn't come through when we had too. We had our chances all year long, and finally we had our chance to make a statement to the rest of the AFCN that we're still here....

Hell the season has been over since the Raiders loss really. As for 9-7. I don't want that or to win another game for that matter. The Steelers are really never are major players in free agency. So at 4-12 the Steelers could land a top five pick and have a chance to draft an impact player that they need.

I thought this team would have the pride, desire, and ability to come through today. I really did. We won 2 in a row and the team was pulling together in the face adversity for the first time all season but once again we come up short.... hell short isnt even the word for it.
