The Steelers yesterday signed 6-4 wide receiver Walter Young from their practice squad to their 53-man roster and released linebacker Marquis Cooper.
Wide receiver Hines Ward has been listed as questionable all week with a hyperextended knee although he did practice on Friday. Young's signing could be as insurance in case Ward cannot play in Baltimore today.
Cooper, a third-year pro, was signed Oct. 31 when linebacker Arnold Harrison was placed on injured reserve.
6'4 is a nice size for a WR..if he has to play hopefully he'll be able to contribute in a positive manner but at this point he'll probably just dress and be insurance this sunday.
