View Full Version : A win is a win; Steelers still breathing!

Hey, nobody ever said we had to win pretty right? The Ratbirds did their best impression of giving the game away and we did our best impression to give it back but finally we were able to pull it out and stay alive in the post season hunt. Both teams had atleast 2 sure TD's opportunities called back because of penalties or missed opportunities. Atleast we were able to pull it out though, we're still alive..barely!!!

Throw style points out the window....

Seriously though, way too lucky for my liking in this one. A little luck is nice, but the ratbirds beat themselves.

Each team was their own worst enemy..the Ravens just shot themselves in the foot one time too many.

This game could have gone either way, both teams did their best act to give it away, we just happen to be able to get the last laugh for once. If this were any real contender, a team the likes of the Saints or Colts, we'd have been done before we got started. We'll take it though guys, we dodged a bullet and we're still ticking!

even with rice runnin all over us we did much better against the passing game, but a few drop balls and it is the ravens... One thing that makes me feel much much better is the defense flashed some of its old self in the end of the game today, finally made the big plays to end the drive. Woodley was the ****in man today

Thank you Derrick Mason....

And whoever the Raven was that had the illegal contact on the last play.

It's nice to be the team that didn't beat themselves for once. Baltimore fans probably got some sour stomaches right about now.

This is definitely the year of the coined phrases around the Steeler locker room. "1 shot, 1 kill, football" "We're not dead yet" "Win or Watch" "We still have a pulse" , hey if it works then it works..LOL.

We made this bed, now it's time to put up or shut up and fight our way out of this nightmare. We can only play who we are scheduled too, so whoever we beat we beat regardless of their record. It's always just a little bit sweeter though when you can stick it to the Ravens!

lol Mason's drop in the endzone is what did it. That is 1 in a 100

Beating the Ravens is satisfaction enough for right now.
Playoffs or no Playoffs beating them and not being swept is a big Satisfaction.

BTW-I think the Rats got a little too Cocky and Careless after they marched down the field and scored the TD to open the 3rd Quarter.....and then INTERCEPTION for a TD that got called back.

You could see they thought the game was going to go their way and then they started having some massive "Brain Cramps".

I think we will do it... Miami is going down and the Steelers will make it in... Then it will be one game at a time for sure...

Just have to hope that New England finds something to play for.

They refuse to learn from history! Play to win the freaking game! You are undefeated!! Do you care? Do you care that resting your players didn't work for you in years past? STUPID STUPID STUPID
