Hampton gets franchised.
Colon is turning into quite the player and will get a deal.

Spaeth is just a spare part in this Arians run offense!

If Arians stays (the horror), I see no point whatsoever in keeping Spaeth, jaysis, the fella deserves to go somewhere where he's going to be utilized as a pass catcher!

Matt Spaeth's blocking is putrid....sure up a roster spot and don't resign this clown...Heath Miller and David Johnson are good enough...and maybe Sean McHugh when he comes back?

I have a feeling this off season will be more productive than previous off seasons. I think they will bring in some quality FA's. I think one big name followed by several B list or C list FA's.

1. Jeff Reed - gone

2. Ryan Clark - depending on how much he asks for, he'll be back. We don't have any alternatives besides him. We know Carter isn't the long term answer.

3. Tyrone Carter - Might be gone, Im sure another team will over pay him to leave if he wants too.

4. Willie Parker- Gone

5. Charlie Batch - Gone

6. Matt Spaeth - 50-50, he won't command any big pay days in FA, and David Johnson getting snaps as well they may let Spaeth go and take another TE late in the draft or FA.

7. Willie Colon - He'll be back, although I'm sure he'll get some looks in FA if he chooses to shop himself around.

8. Darnell Stapleton - Gone

9. Travis Kirschke - He'll either retire or sign a 2 yr deal with us, won't command big money and if he wants to play he'll come back to us.

10. Casey Hampton - Needs to stay or else we better make NT our #1 priority in the draft. He'll want big money for sure, and he's playing well this year.

11. William Gay - Hard to say, he's struggled obviously and nobody is going to offer him McFadden type money. Honestly we don't have much behind him except Townsend who isn't getting any younger. If he leaves then CB becomes top priority in the draft too.

12. Deshea Townsend - Needs to come back for another 2 yr deal. The guy can play Safety or CB, and is a great veteran leader. He's not the greatest but he's generally solid in tackling.

13. Daniel Sepulveda- Obviously they will bring DSep back, after our season last year without him they know how important he is.

they will resign clark, sepulveda, colon, hopefully hampton, gay (if he finishes the year like he played last year), spaeth, stapleton and carter. others are likely gone because of age and/or off field problems.

Agreed, I couldnt believe how good they made flacco look...:evilshake:

And if reed goes, are there any FAs out there worth looking at or are we looking at a draft choice? You may not like his off-field issues but as far as his ability in the past couple years.. pretty big shoes to fill.

1. Jeff Reed - Gone, thank God.

2. Ryan Clark - More than likely stays until he grooms a younger safety for the position.

3. Tyrone Carter - More than likely gone. That two interception performance against the Denver Broncos will make some team bite on him.

4. Willie Parker - I want him gone, may re-sign.

5. Charlie Batch - Retires.

6. Matt Spaeth - He'll stay.

7. Willie Colon - Kept.

8. Darnell Stapleton - Peace, homie.

9. Travis Kirschke - Signs for the short term.

10. Casey Hampton - Franchised.

11. William Gay - Re-signed.

12. Deshea Townsend - Retires.

13. Daniel Sepulveda - Back for the long haul.

There's how I see that playing out.

Honestly at this point, Reed will probably be gone, we all pretty much know that. His off field issues may be too much of a distraction for the team to consider giving him the money he's going to want. In all honesty, up until this year none of us had a problem with Jeff, he's been a fan favorite ever since he got here. If and when he leaves, breaking in a new kicker at Heinz is not going to be fun, so we all need to be prepared for some crappy kicks early on in 2010.

1. Jeff Reed - gone

2. Ryan Clark - I would resign him for three more years, he and Troy are a great combo:

3. Tyrone Carter - Depends on what he'll demand. He is a nice backup

4. Willie Parker - gone: its been a nice run when he was healthy. but this is RM job now:

5. Charlie Batch - gone: may come back as a QB coach

6. Matt Spaeth - gone,

7. Willie Colon - resigned or Transition of FA. Tag

8. Darnell Stapleton - resigned, but is a backup C/G: Essex is a better player: but if Colon leaves, Essex could move to RT

9. Travis Kirschke - gone: age and injury, beside Hood is prime to increase workload

10. Casey Hampton - gone, depending on how the Steelers finished: If they make a long run in the playoffs, maybe he is resigned of FT, but if the Steelers finished in the first half of the draft. Maybe Hoke is next year NT with a rookie in the wings.

11. William Gay - if their is a new CBA he will be gone, if not, he will be hear net year: but unless he imporves, his is just a third CB

12. Deshea Townsend - depends out what happens with Gay:

13. Daniel Sepulveda - resigned.
