Alot of Ravens fans I know and talk too online are really and I mean really taking this game for granted this week against the Steelers. They think this is going to be an easy win based on the fact that we barely beat Cleveland and we keep turning the ball over every week and Ben leading the league in interceptions and stuff. They assume this is going to be an easy win because Baltimore fans think this is their year and they compare it to the 2000 season where they won the Super Bowl saying that the magic is back this year just like that year. Well I got news for all the Ravens fans this team is not as good as the Ravens team in 2000 that won the Super Bowl.

Ive watched every Ravens game this year and they have been winning all these close games not because their a really good team, alot of it I think is just pure luck and fluky. This Ravens team can be had and if this Ravens team and their fans think that just cause the Steelers are having an off year and are not playing the same kind of football that this game Sunday in Baltimore is going to be a walk in the park their gonna be in for a rude awakening come Sunday. Keep in mind Ravens fans you guys barely beat the Browns and the Titans on the road this year. They beat them both by 1 point and had to do it in the closing seconds. They beat the Chargers because the Chargers missed a couple fg's and a fluky safety play in the end zone with 2 mins left that gave the Ravens the ball in good field position to drive and win the game in the last minute. Basically they are winning games because of Steve McNair he is the sole reason that team now is 8-2 period. Its not their awesome overrated D its McNair period. My point is the Steelers need to come out this week and take it too the Ravens early in this game. This is not a game I think where the Steelers can come out and can afford to get behind early. If Im the Steelers I come out and go no huddle and spread it 4 wides to start the game and try to get up on the Ravens 10-0 14-0 early and put the pressure on McNair all game to make plays and win. They absolutely cannot turn the ball over this week either. Do not give this Ravens offense which I still isnt very good I dont think a short field to score on. Make McNair and the offense drive everytime they have the ball and earn their points. Special teams will also be a key in this game too. We MUST not give up no big returns in this game or it could spell disaster.

The bottom line is if the Steelers do win this game this week I think its really gonna be a huge lift for this team and I really believe that the Ravens will lose to the Bengals and Chiefs the next two weeks on the road and the Steelers will beat Tampa and Browns here the same weeks which would put the Steelers 1 game behind Baltimore with one game still to go here on Christmas Eve. Im telling you this Ravens team is not that good, and if the Steelers come out and dont turn the ball over get up on them in this game early and keep the pressure on they will definitely come out of Baltimore with a win. Either way this is going to be one hell of a battle and I expect it to come down to the last minutes if not go to OT. But if the Ravens and their fans think this is going to be a cakewalk their sadly mistaken. The Ravens have an opportunity to knock the Steelers out once and for all this weekend they had better do it or else this division is once again going to be ours for the taking.

Exactly. The key this week, like every week, is to not turn the ball over. If we don't make stupid mistakes, we win the game.

The idiot Ravens fans forget that their mighty Ravens just beat the Browns by a point. Let them take this game for granted. The Ravens are the biggest overrated piece of crap in the NFL.

So is Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Chris McAllister, and what not other pansies that dance around with Lewis. OVERHYPED *** THINKS HE IS GOD.

Hopefully we can get some nice bulletin board material from the Ravens' players or fans.

I am hoping Ray Lewis opens his fat gay *** mouth and start romping **** on us. Joey is going to be fired up for sure.

Anybody who knows anything about football and has seen any of the ratbird games, hell not even the scores but the stats should know they are overrated.

The team wins on virtually no offense every week and relies on their defense to keep them in the game and score points. McNairs stats are pitiful and JailBird Jamal is inconsistent. We can beat this team, that I have no doubt...now we have to go out and do it !

That'll be great and see Joey slam Ray in the mouth.

I hope Willie Parker or Hines Ward lays him out. I know Hines would. I think we are going to give McNair a beating from hell. Time to put the brakes on Jamal "overrated" lewis

Just let them keep taking us for granted, that will be their downfall !!

Ratbirds have great special teams and we need to keep the ball out of their defense hand, they have a good scoring defense...i think mcnair might be a non issue and come on...jamal, seriously? no one can run on us.

Jamal won't do ****, McNair will be forced out on injury, McAllister will get burned by Ward, Holmes will give the whole secondary some fits as well as Miller, and finally, Parker is going to need to get the momentum going and run that damn ball better.

Coaches with suits are now 2-0. Maybe Cowher should wear one on Sunday?

And that's just where our struggles have been, ST and offense giving the ball away. It's imperative that Jeff and Chris makes their kicks where the return guys either cant make a return or where they give enough hang time so our guys can get down there.

If we turn the ball over 3 times we are winning this game because their D will score. Our D can keep mcnutt and company at bay as long as our offense can get some points. I would imagine this will be a low scoring battle.

With their record (as compared to ours) I can't say as I really blame them. If I were a Ravens fan, I'm sure I'd feel the same way. I had complete confidence in our guys when they were gettin ready to play lower ranked teams last year...heck--I had confidence when they were goin in to play HIGHER ranked teams! lol Turns out, my faith wasn't misplaced :)

But--our guys simply can NOT only play all out for only 15-20 minutes and expect to get a win against the Ravens. They've got to bring their BEST game come Sunday. If they do, we're guaranteed at least a great game--and quite possibly, a win :)

The Steelers barely beat the Browns??? Wow, how soon they forget the Ravens barely beat the Browns too!!! The Ravens scored 12 points in the 4th quarter after putting up only 3 points in the first 3 quarters! Let them over look the Steelers, because the Steelers are known for taking it one game at a time and they normally don't look past another team, especially when that team is sitting on top of the division!

Look for this game to be decided by a field goal. Thinking 21-20, 17-14

10/31/05 Steelers 20 Ratbirds 19
11/20/05 Ravens 16 Steelers 13 OT

I really do not see that changing this year. Now if we snap McNairs leg....

It's definately going to be a close hard fought game, they always are. Whoever makes the least mistakes will win this one.

Ok, think about this, we might not have to snap his leg...mabey ray lewis will stab him before weeks end.

Anyway...keep in mind wille shredded that d last time we played 122 yards on 32 carries....not big averages but effective run game. AND lets not forget Mr Tommy Maddox is the one who lost the OT game.

Good point...Jerome never had alot of success against them because big backs don't normally do well against them but a smaller back who has power and speed can have big games if the OL holds their ground.

Man I have this feeling Willie is going to break a big one on the Ravens for a TD. I'm thinking a 50-60 yarder and the Steelers win 27-20.

Wouldnt that be something to see him flying down the sidelines and listening to the HUSH come over the whole stadium  :tt02:

We need this game alot more than they do so Im looking for us to come out firing and hopefully jump on them first.
