Steeler depth may be at the point we need someone who is experienced in LeBeau's system

I'm not saying this is good or bad
but injuries will expose a teams quality of depth (or lack thereof)

To me Roye is basically an older, and larger version of Eason... you wont get much, but then again, he knows both LeBeau's system, and the Browns'.

Well its pretty certain that he wont be the starter - He'll probably just be brought in as depth.

Sounds like Tomlin/LeBeau didn't like what they saw out in practice out of the 3-man rotation.

we could just put Issac Redman there...right?

Isaac Redman will be on the team next year, Willie Parker won't

No need to assume that quite yet, this is most likely just to solidify the depth-chart. Roye was a Steeler last year, this just proves that the Steelers really do not like going outside of the organization, even when they do go 'outside' the organization.

Kirschke is a solid backup, he'll do an admirable job for us but behind him there is no proven talent so if Roye is available at a decent price it would make sense to consider bringing him in for insurance if nothing else.

lulz, i have his autograph on my very first terrible towel

back in 1996, he came to my high school (i was in middle school at the time), along w/ kevin henry and a few other rookies...they played our staff in basketball, and beat the **** out of them

The Steelers announced they were gonna work him out the day they put Smith on IR, and said they were going to sign Harris, if they havent made him an offer yet, then it was probably just a thought, or they wanted to see how we do against the Browns. I think they are going to stick with who they have now.

I wish the Steelers would've made a move for Gaines Adams. All the Bucs wanted was a 2nd rd pick for a guy that was taken 4th in the draft....

Holy Crap......Orpheus Roye!!!
I hope the Steelers got a basket full of Swiffers to dust him off.

He would have to play OLB in our system, so I am guessing this stems from you hating on Woodley rather than trying to fix our DL. You have to remember our DL has to be bigger than the 4-3 DL.
