Always liked Foote, but like Rod said in his induction speach, he is no longer a Steeler and we are expected to boo and call for his but whoopin'.....:cope:

Foot was awesome def a tough *** player. But you are right I want him to get blocked on every blitz and ran over by Mendy. 8 years from now when someone asks him what team he played for no doubt he will be saying the black n gold though.

I will never boo Larry Foote......A former 4th round pick that exceeded my expectations of him and helped this team win two Super Bowls......It was Lawrence Timmons time to start anyway and I wish Foote the best.......

Mendenhall will tear up the Detroit Lions not just Larry Foote....So yes I hope Rashard tears up the Lions this Sunday.....

Foote was nothing but a badass for us. Kinda reminded me of Lee Flowers playing LB. I'm surious to see him as a 4-3 MLB though, I thought he was good b/c of our system, but still my kinda player.

He was a wolverine, and a Michigan native...I do believe he wanted to go there once the steelers expressed their interest letting him go

Yeah he's from Detroit, he specifically wanted to go there and help them rebuild.

if thats the case I hope he can still play in a wheelchair because it;s going to be a really long time before the lions turn it around.

I was a fan of Larry Foote, but timmons showed that it was his time and unfortunately, Larry became a FA. I'll pull for him in Detroit but would like to see the offense tear it up again.

Unfortunately for Larry, he is the MLB in a 4-3 defense which places him right in the crosshairs of where we will be running on Sunday. The Lion defense is not that good and Mendenhall should have another big game. Ben will also be able to put up some big numbers passing this week as well. I believe the Steelers will shoot out to a big lead and force the Lions into playing catch-up which will be their demise. Culpepper is not an acurate QB. :2cents:

That's what scares me, because our DB's aren't all that neither........:2cents:

Great player, great guy. But as far as Sunday goes, he's the enemy. I look forward to watching Mendenhall run anyone and everyone over. If he runs the way he did last week against the San Diego Chargers, then he'll almost surely be the starting running back for the rest of the year.

Townsend was talking on Sirius today, he said Larry had a bunch of his former teammates over to his house the night before the game for dinner. Apparently his wife is quite the cook and they all had a real good time.

I read in the after game quotes that they did it as a tribute to Larry, not to show him up.
