View Full Version : Reeds inconsistent kicking is getting old !

His kickoffs are terrible, with virtually each one landing at atleast the 10 yd line. His FG's are just so inconsistent you can't count on an automatic 3 pts when he comes onto the field like we could last year. I have a feeling he needs more competition come training camp next year.

Hopefully we can just chalk his poor play this year to this bad season in general and he'll be able to bounce back.

but he's always sucked on kickoffs, it's just not this year, he's a bum when it comes to kickoffs and now he's becoming an overall bum as a kicker cause he can't hit simple kicks like he used to, cut him and draft a good kicker

I wanted to yanked his ***, some of the kickoffs landed around the 20 and couldn't believe my eyes on that crap. He totally sucks on FGs. It is time to find a new kicker.

He does own the record for consecutive makes at Heinz Field I believe if that counts for anything

You guys are quick to throw reed under the bus. Who would replace Reed in your eyes?

well it's not like heinz field is old, he's been with us since 02

You got any bright idea, Philly? Sure as hell won't be Reed next year unless someone kicks his ***.

I have noticed that even his extra points are going left and right. He seems to be having a few problems this year but he has been a very good kicker for us until now.

Why me? I got a bad back, I can't play professional football, Hell even if I finished my career in Toledo for four seasons, I still wouldn't of been good enough for the NFL. I like to see you try it, smartass. You think your high and mighty and sipping on champaigne in that damaged room of yours.

I would much rather play CB, on on the Middle Line then being a damn kicker.

you dont' have to be in shape to be a kicker, they ain't football players, they are bitches, look at that raiders kicker, he's fat *** too

Hostile? I am very upset with Cowher looking like a total *** tonight on that sideline and not even giving a damn on this game. Pathetic calls and the blown secondary, and yes we won simply because, Parker bailed our asses. Least we didn't turn the ball over.

Morten Anderson too, Koopa. I seen him sporting a gut. LMAO. I like how you put that in an interpretation. I had to laugh

The reason I liked Reed was the fact he made his field goals at Heinz Field. But this year he looks shaky in that regard as well. He always sucked on kickoffs.

I would be all for the drafting of a kicker but just don't use a high draft pick on one. I don't want to see the Steelers use a first round pick like the Raiders did for the fat *** in Oakland. Plus I don't want the Steelers use a 2nd round pick like the Jets did for Mike Nugent. But maybe bringing in another kicker next year would be wise.

Is their another expansion draft coming up... maybe we could put Reed in it like we did with the last kicker :)

You never want to leave points on the field because every one counts. Maybe the Steelers could address this in the up coming draft, because Reed has gotten to big for his britches!

Reed had Heinz field figured out. He could kick from anywhere and make it. This year he is struggling from all parts of the field as well as other stadiums. He just can't get out of this funk of inconsistency.

ROTFLMAO, Your telling me to call up the first female kicker in NFL History? You know something, you got a point there too. She is a hell of a kicker in soccer. Hmmmmm...You do got something here.

At this point Im willing to try anything, these missed opportunities to get points cost us points in every game this year.
