View Full Version : Ben should sit the first preseason game out, IMO.

The guy is coming along nicely, and doing excellent in practice. He's not been restricted or held back in any way. Still though, if you ask me, I'd sit him down this first game. The cards are opening up their new stadium for the first time, its gonna be crazy and emotions will run high..last thing we need is him taking a hit right now in the first game. If anything maybe let him play just 1 series and thats it.

I don't know, Im just still alittle worried about how he'll react to taking his first hit on or near his helmet.

I don't see him playing more than 1 or 2 series. Better we find out now how he will be than midway during the season. I don't think the Steelers staff would let him play if it could cause him problems down the road.

Well I think he should get a couple series and then be done. Just slowly but steadily work back in to full contact.

i think he should just play the first series, and then just watch the rest of the game. for some reason i wanna see omar jacob and cedric humes, even though i probably won't even get to see the game, i should have dsl by saturday so i'll get to see the broadband highlights finally lol

Im really looking forward to seeing what Cedric and Omar can do for us. I agree that it's better to find out now if he's gonna need more time to heal but that first time he gets sacked or tackled I'll be holding my breath.

Well in camp he has pretty much looked like the same ol Ben. maybe he needs a series to tell if more time is neccessary for his healing. I mean better check now while there is still 3 weeks still before Miami gets their behinds whooped by the Steelers.
