...if certain conditions are met, including:

- Letter from Roethlisberger admitting that he assaulted her.
- Roethlisberger would have to retract statements he made against her
- Roethlisberger would need to donate $100,000 to the Committee to Aid Abused Women in Reno, Nev.

FULL STORY (http://kdka.com/steelers/Ben.Roethlisberger.lawsuit.2.1171515.html)

Personally I hope he tells her to go screw and that he'll see her in court.

According to his attorneys he ain't gonna agree to this "settlement". It is kinda funny though how first she suing for $400,000, now if he makes donation to the charity it will all be good...

There's no way that he's going to do that. This is the beginning of the end...she has no case and she knows it.

I heard this on news this morning. She will drop all charges if Ben Admits to what he did and gives her a written apology for his actions. F*ck That!!!!!

She losing her case and doesn't have a leg to stand on so she resorts to some bullshit like this.... Take it up with my Lawyers Bitch.

This only goes to show that the woman is not right in the head.
What woman gets raped/assulted, tries to ruin a guys reputation, drag this **** out and then just all of a sudden say, "It's alright Ben, I'll forget it happened if you just confess". :wtf:

Yeah. It sounds like she is trying to lower the perceived "cost" to Ben in the hopes that he'll decide that settling is less costly than fighting, so that she can get out of it with a "victory" even though it's not the payday she was shooting for.

Even if Ben had to pay a Million to end all this, it wouldn't hurt him in the least. Ben has enough money to live comfortly out the rest of his life even if he never threw another football in this life time. The point is, (like the Good Book saids) I good name is better than all riches. :2cents:

He MIGHT do this just to be rid of the stress and headache (I REALLY DOUBT IT)
I believe things are going badly for her and is throwing this out to try and save face, but it's not gonna happen....
She's losing and is just going downhill fast.
sucks to be her.

ZERO chance he does this. It's obviously not about the money for him. $400,000 is chump change to him. It's all about clearing his name. It will be interesting what Ben's lawyers are going to come back with on this one. I'm thinking they start counter suing and pulling all the stops out now b/c it is ridiculous and getting annoying. Whatever it is, get it over with fast.

Seems like a sneaky back door type way to getting Ben to confess to a crime he didn't committ. Not totally sure how legal system works on this but if Ben says "yes I'm sorry I raped you" even he just doing it to shut her the hell up couldn't they try and press criminal charges?

PITTSBURGH (AP)—The attorney for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is rejecting a settlement offer by a former Nevada casino worker who claims the Super Bowl winner sexually assaulted her.

Roethlisberger attorney David Cornwell says the woman’s offer is bizarre.

The woman wants Roethlisberger to admit to the allegations, apologize and donate $100,000 to the Committee to Aid Abused Women, a Reno nonprofit organization that offers support to domestic violence victims.

In a statement Wednesday, Cornwell says the proposal insults women who have legitimately suffered from sexual misconduct.

The woman sued the Super Bowl-winning quarterback in July, accusing him of assaulting her in 2008 in a hotel across the street from a golf course where he was playing in a celebrity tournament.

The fact this case is still active, even as a civil case, is in itself a travesty from the facts that have been reported. I will lose what little faith I had in our legal system should they not drop all civil charges. IMO, she needs to be locked up, not making demands to settle out of court.

...."and donate $100,000 to the Committee to Aid Abused Women, a Reno nonprofit organization that offers support to domestic violence victims".

This is what the net says about domestic violence: It can happen to couples who are married, living together or who are dating.

So in HER mind there's some sort of actual relationship between she and Ben--at least that what it sounds like she's implying with her choice of charities.

All of a sudden after all this time, she now has a supporting witness, and one that lived with her. All of this coming out right at the time the season starts. When it is all settled, she needs to do some time, or at the very least, I hope Big Ben sues her into bankruptcy when the season is over for defamation of character.

WAY TO GO BEN!!!

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP)—The attorney for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger(notes) on Wednesday rejected a settlement offer by a Nevada woman who claims the Super Bowl champion sexually assaulted her at a Lake Tahoe hotel-casino.

The rejection was in response to a letter, filed last week as part of a motion from Cal Dunlap, the woman’s Reno attorney, that said she would be willing to settle the civil matter against Roethlisberger if he admits to raping her, apologizes and gives $100,000 to the Committee to Aid Abused Women, a non-profit agency in Reno that helps victims of domestic violence.

In a written statement, Roethlisberger attorney David Cornwell called the woman’s offer “bizarre” and an “insult to women who have legitimately suffered from sexual misconduct.”

Last month, they demanded she drop the lawsuit and write a letter of apology to the NFL star. In return, Roethlisberger would release both the woman and Dunlap from any legal liability stemming from the “conspiracy to extort and defame” him.

Those demands have been rejected by the woman, Dunlap said in his letter. It added that her settlement offer was made to negate claims by the quarterback’s attorneys that she filed her suit to get money from him.

Dunlap said the woman is a sexual assault victim who “was violated in every sense of the term.”

Dunlap refused further comment when contacted Wednesday.

Cornwell countered that the woman was given the option for a “graceful exit.”

“We will continue to press our defenses and claims and pursue our application for sanctions,” he said.

In other developments, the case in Washoe District Court has been reassigned to another judge, the third since the case was filed. District Judge Brent Adams will consider pending motions on whether the case should be moved to Douglas County. Depending on that ruling, he also would decide various other motions, including whether the case should proceed or be dismissed, attorneys said.

No hearings have been scheduled.

The woman, a VIP casino hostess, filed the civil suit against Roethlisberger in July, claiming the Super Bowl-winning quarterback raped her in 2008 in a hotel penthouse across the street from a golf course where he was playing in a celebrity tournament.

The AP, as a matter of policy, does not identify people who say they have been sexually assaulted.

In other documents filed late Tuesday, Dunlap said the woman was stationed as a concierge on the 17th floor on July 11, 2008, when Roethlisberger returned to his room with a young woman. About 20 minutes later, he walked that woman to the elevator, then stopped by the concierge desk and chatted with staff, including his accuser.

A few minutes later, the documents said, Roethlisberger reportedly called the woman and asked her if she could fix his television. The woman said the television was working properly and that Roethlisberger then blocked her from leaving and assaulted her.

In the same filing, Dunlap also said the woman told her roommate and others of the encounter soon after the alleged attack and in the months that followed.

She did not report the incident to police, something advocates for rape victims say is not unusual.

Roethlisberger has denied the allegations.

Dunlap late Tuesday also countered suggestions by Roethlisberger’s lawyers that the woman is mentally ill.

“It is in fact their slanderous allegations and total trashing of every aspect of her life, relevant or not, that adds to her distress,” he wrote. “But, despite this horrible barrage of unwarranted defamation, this woman has held her head high, has gone into the den of the defendants and has continued to do her job without fail under the most egregious circumstances possible.

“This is something that a mentally ill person would certainly not be able to carry off.”

The civil suit also names eight Harrah’s officials as defendants, alleging they orchestrated a cover-up of the incident. The suit says she suffered depression, was hospitalized and forced to take leave from her job in the year after the incident.

In previous court documents, the attorney for hotel security chief Guy Hyder and other Harrah’s defendants said the woman kept him “informed with running e-mail commentary about her plan to have sex with Roethlisberger.”

“Hyder did not report it to management, since having consensual sex with a hotel patron, while on the job, would get her fired,” the motion said.

I WOULDN'T GIVE THAT BITCH A DIME!!!! IS SHE CRAZY!!!

Demand for Roethlisberger sex list (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)
A lawyer for a Nevada casino worker accusing Ben Roethlisberger of sexually assaulting her last year at a Lake Tahoe resort wants a list of every woman the Steelers quarterback has slept with and any who have claimed sexual misconduct on his part. Reno attorney Calvin Dunlap filed the request late Tuesday as part of a court filing opposing motions to have the civil lawsuit dismissed. Dunlap also requested, among other things, Roethlisberger's telephone and e-mail records and for him to undergo psychiatric and physical examinations. His lawyers have suggested the same for his accuser, calling her "disturbed and calculating" and a "sex addict."

Sounds like she's really trying to get him embarrassed/inconvenienced enough to settle, since realizing she can't win outright on the merits of the case.

Settling would be seen as an admission of guilt which we all know is not true. He needs to stick to his guns and expose this woman as a fraud. If there were true justice in this country she would be handed the entire legal bill for both sides after this case is thrown out by a judge. Let her spend the next 20 years of her life paying for her bogus ponzi scheme. :2cents:

The lawyer for a woman who is accusing Ben Roethlisberger of rape is prepared to ask a Nevada court to compel the Steelers quarterback to name all the women he has had sex with.

In court documents, Reno, Nev., lawyer Calvin Dunlap says if Mr. Roethlisberger's request to speed up the evidence-gathering process is granted, he also will seek phone records, Internet communications, and names of any women who have claimed improper sexual conduct by the two-time Super Bowl winner.

The motion also says that if a physical or psychiatric examination of his client is allowed, "a reciprocal examination" of Mr. Roethlisberger should be mandated.

Meanwhile, Mr. Roethlisberger's lawyer today released a document indicating the woman sought $2.8 million from her employer, Harrah's, just days before filing the lawsuit against the quarterback.

Harrah's was just added as a defendant in the case yesterday.

The authenticity of the document -- a prepared legal form titled "Remedy Request" -- could not immediately be verified.

In it, a box marked "compensatory damages" was checked off, and then the dollar amount of $374,362 was handwritten next to the category "medical costs."

Also checked off were boxes titled "All adverse information removed from my personnel file" and "Other."

Under the latter category, $1.5 million was written in for emotional distress, and $1 million was listed for damage to reputation.

The document purportedly bears the signature of the plaintiff and is dated July 6, 2009.

On July 17, the plaintiff filed a suit in Washoe County, Nev., against Mr. Roethlisberger, accusing him of raping her in his hotel room on July 11, 2008, during a celebrity golf tournament.

The 31-year-old woman also sued eight current or former members of Harrah's Lake Tahoe, claiming they either ignored her requests for help or conspired to cover up the alleged assault.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette does not name alleged victims of sexual assault.

William David Cornwell Sr., who is representing Mr. Roethlisberger, also seemed to strike a more conciliatory tone toward the plaintiff in a statement accompanying the document.

"Given her admitted and obviously unstable mental state and the possibility that she is being manipulated by an unscrupulous lawyer, we remain willing to give [the plaintiff] a limited benefit of the doubt (relating to her motivations only because her allegations are demonstrably false)," Mr. Cornwell wrote.

"Her lawyer, however, does not deserve and will not receive similar consideration."

Her lawyer, Mr. Dunlap, was not immediately available for comment.Bitch try to sue anyone/everyone......:willybs:
