Santonio Holmes won't be playing tonight so Limas Sweed will start opposite of Hines Ward. Im really excited to see a more extended look at Mike Wallace with the first team offense as the third reciever and seeing him return kicks during the first half as well.

Sweed made a couple of nice catches on balls that were thrown way behind him. He also had the holding call on the Wallace reverse. You always seem to get a mixed bag with him although he looks much better than last year. Hopefully he can mirror Plaxico's improvement curve after he had a forgettable rookie year and went on to have a decent 2nd year.

This receiving core I think for the Steelers is going to be very underrated all season long. You know what you're going to get with Hines and Santanio of course. But when you also factor in the emergence of a rookie like Mike Wallace who has exceeded expectations and then some so far in camp. You also add in the improvement that Limas Sweed has made to his game in which he has made enormous strides from last season, and also adding a sure handed veteran receiver in Shaun McDonald this Steelers wideout core along with Heath Miller have a chance to have a very very productive year...

This is the best recieving corps we've had for many a year, . . . . potentially!

The signs look good for Wallace and especially Sweed, even I'm beginning to think Limas makes the grade, . . if both these guys pan out, Ben should be spoilt for choice!

McDonald of course has also looked very reliable and provides valuable experience and production should Sweed and Wallace get sloppy!

Of course Hines and Santonio ain't too shabby either!!
