Steelers VS Vikings Taking the family on vacation

Ok I am asking for some help. I am taking my family, wife and 8yr son to Pittsburgh for the game, without sounding corny, I do not know where to eat, sites to see. We are staying at a hotel close to pnc park so we are in walking distance of heinz field.

we were looking on line and we saw Jeromes' Grill 36 or Primanti Brothers any other good steelers places to see and eat at.

we need to experience the Tailgating thing.

I took my wife, for our 10 year anniversery in 06', to Pittsburgh to see a game and now the my son is old enough, it is his turn. My Pop was born and raised in Pittsburgh and when he was transfered to Scott Airforce Base in Il. he brought me up right, now I am passing it on.

Jerome's is a nce place to eat. If ya staying near PNC ya might want to go over to the Carnegie Science Center and the sports center for a little something to do for your son. They got alot of interactive stuff for kids to do....

Station Square across the river has many restaraunts to check out. Carnegie Science Center is on the other side of Heinz, along with the new Casino. You can tailgate with us at our tailgate. I assume you are staying at Spring Hill Suites which is right in front of PNC Park. Our tailgate is directly across from that hotel in walking distance. SoHo in your hotel is pretty good also. You also have McFaddens and Firewaters in the area.

I LOVE eating at Peppi's Inc in the Strip District.

They have the Rothlisberger there and I love their steak sandwichs and home cut fries with Malt vinegar!!! :drool:
