Dennis Dixon suffered a shoulder separation In his throwing arm in last nights preseason game. It isn't believed to be serious. It is actually the same injury Ben had last year and it didn't cost him to miss any games.

No doubt....depending on how long it bothers him I wonder if the steelers will sign another QB

wow..for a QB it's hard to believe that a injury like that would be a non-issue.I was really hoping for him to take that #2 spot..he brings alot more playmaking potential than Batch. That nice run he had last night when the protection broke down was a fine example.

No way they cut Leftwich, even if McNown beats him out.

I miss Byron! Although I don't blame him for leaving to seek a starters job. I think he is better than about half the current starters in the league.

I pose this question: If the Steelers were to sign a QB, who in the hell would they sign? Who's even out there?

Rumor has it that Timmy Chang is free! Yes, we should have signed Vick!

Let's face it, behind Ben we have absolutely nobody that inspires any confidence to get the job done. Batch is adequate for a game or 2 and Dixon may be improving but he's far from ready to jump in and take over drivers seat.

Vick sure the hell isn't the answer, just like know all I hear is how pretty and tight his spiral is, SO WHAT I guess Accuracy doesn't count. I will be happy with Batch or Dixon, They are backups for a reason and if Ben happens not to play what do you expect is going to happen regardless Vick or Batch. We need Ben to get to and win the SB.

Batch does have the experience, BUT DOES NOT INSPIRE ANY CONFIDENCE!!!!

I love Dixon's athletic ability, but needs experience...

Dixon will be starting somewhere when his contract with Pitt is done (unfortunately)
Dixon needs some more seasoning before he's ready to take over the #2 QB spot...
Until next year...I hope he heals quickly!!!

I'm willing to take bets than Jim Zorn is a better starting quarterback than Jason Campbell :yellowthumb:
