Slug

...hey there. Slug here. How ya doin'? That's good, that's good. Me? I can't complain. Thanks for askin'.
Yeah, so there I was once again reading some threads on ExtremeSkins (http://www.extremeskins.com) while I was supposed to be working like I do every day, and I noticed that someone noticed that y`all (or is it "youns" 'round these parts?) noticed our Look-A-Like thread for this week. It's a fun, good-natured ribbing kind of thread we do every week leading up to every game. In any case I decided to slide on by to see how things were going here on the black & gold side of PA (I currently live just outside of Philly, see). Looked around and saw that y`all seem to be a pretty laid back crew who loves their football. I can dig that. So, never one to miss an opportunity to kick around with fellow gridiron junkies I decided to sign up.
As you've probably surmised, I'm not a Steelers fan (Shock! Scandal!). Raised in the D.C. metro area; I'm a Redskins fanatic to the core. There ain't nothing in the world like a D.C. touchdown, the stadium going nuts and you and 90,000 of your closest pals singing 'Hail to the Redskins'. Gives me chills just thinking about it. The team has had its share of ups and downs over the years, but Super Bowl or last in the division - I'll be right there flyin' the burgundy and gold through it all.
Living in Eagles territory with my two boys (9 and 5) and my wife. Now my wife...she's more y`all's type. Her whole family is from good `ol Beaver Falls, PA..just a handful of exits past Pittsburgh out there. We make the trip across the state fairly often to visit her family for holidays and special events and the like. Nice country out there, really. Anyway, she is a Steelers fan who claims my 'skins as her NFC team. What's that, you ask? What happens when the 'skins and Steelers play each other? What does she do? Good question. I wish I could tell you that I've turned her to the Burgundy side of the force, but no, I haven't. Usually what happens is she wears both teams' gear (Steelers shirt and Redskins earrings for example) and cheers for a good game with no injuries. She's a better person than me, by far.
That about sums it up. If you don't mind I'll stick around for a bit and take in the atmosphere. You seem like good people. Hail to the Redskins and I'll see y`all at FedEx this Saturday. :yellowthumb:
