Sources say former Steeler John Banaszak has been hospitalized.

Sources tell KDKA that 58-year-old John Banaszak is critical but stable condition at Allegheny General Hospital.

We are told that he suffered multiple aneurysms and was flown to the hospital Wednesday evening where he remains in intensive care.

Banaszak earned three Super Bowl trophies with the Steelers. He was on the team from 1975 to 1981.

He is currently a football coach at Robert Morris University.

~ Sad news...I just saw him on the NFL network special about the 70's steelers talking about his teammates..Hope he pulls thru.

Good luck to him.. Goes to show what footballers sacrifice as wouldn't be surprised if years of pro-football contributed to his condition.
