I've seen Mike Thomas slated to go early ( 3rd round) and very late (5th-7th, or even as a F/A) here are some of the stats for Steve Smith of Carolina while he was at Univ. of Utah and Mike Thomas stats at arizona:

physically, they are pretty similar. Both are speed merchants and have very good hands. Steve Smith needed three years to become a force in the league to become a legitamate receiving threat. Year 4 he broke his leg in the 1st game and was done for that year. He initially was a KO/Return threat, until he got the chance to start and show what he can do...

I'm hoping that Pitt does go after him, hopefully in the 4th round. I think he could be a excellent receiving threat and we get a returning threat the team needs. W ith the loss of Russell and if Holmes gets hurt, Pitt is screwed in the special teams return department.

hes a little guy but hes got the bulk that he can play outside in the NFL...unlike guys like roscoe parrish who are twigs and are forced to the slot

I think sweed is going to come into his own this year and I think we need to concentrate on our O lone more. Lets protect Big Ben a little more so we have someone to throw to our receivers. I know we have Batch and Dixon but if they have to play they are going to need protection as well.
