What would u guys think about picking him up for a 4th or 5th? Could be a hell of a returner and possible slot receiver!

Roscoe Parrish for our 5th-round pick. Parrish can fill our slot WR and KR duties, and our 5th-round picks ain't been **** anyway.

I don't know......Parrish is a very good punt returner.....He only has returned 8 kickoffs the last three years....The Steelers have Holmes when they need a spark to return punts.....But Parrish would give the Steelers a full time punt returner....I guess he would return kickoffs as a Steeler....But with Parrish only returning 8 kicks since his rookie year then he might not be that good at kickoffs....He would be an upgrade over Carey Davis and Gary Russell....lol

I don't think Parrish offers anything more then a 4th WR..........I would hate him as the slot and third WR...He isn't tough enough and would drop the ball after contact.....I wouldn't hate the trade but I wouldn't give up anything more then a 5th.....

i hope they get this done, he still has potential at wr and could be used in the same way as nate 40+ yards out, but at the very least hes a great returner

GET HIM IN THE 5th

He is a great punt returner but he hasn't returned many kick-offs the last few years....I know the Bills have other very good return man as well....But he seems to be a much better punt returner then kick-off returner......But he would be an upgrade for the Steelers at kick returns.....

Roscoe doesn't have great yard's per catch numbers so far in his career......The Bills lack of a quality QB and offense in general might have contributed to his yard per catch being low ....Nate had an average of 16.4 yards per catch as the Steelers 3rd WR......

I wouldn't be against the Steelers trading for Parrish but I wouldn't give up more then a 5th round pick.......I think he is nothing more then a 4th WR at this point...But the Steelers do need another WR......

But a WR core of Holmes, Ward, an improved Sweed and Parrish would be sweet.....

Don't know. He's got 3 td's on p or k returns his average is 14 yards. 2 td's as a receiver 10.8 average yards per catch. Maybe a 5th...........maybe.

It's better than drafting a 5th-rounder and then cutting him in training camp.

I wouldn't go any lower than a 5th round.

One thing, though, the opposing teams quit kicking to him the last half of the season so he wouldn't be able to return it. (I read that on the Bills board.)

This trade would be great, if it happens. The Steelers have never really found their answer at kick returner, since the departure of Antwaan Randle El.

I would have to agree with the majority of other responses and say if we can get him for a 5th round pick go for it otherwise I dont think its worth it.

if there's one thing we need besides a boost on o-line, its a solid kick returner. i cant even remember the last time we had a return for a TD other then Holmes' against the Chargers.

Allen Rossum - against San Fran a couple years ago...then we cut him and they signed him and he had a big one for them last year! I thought we should of kept the guy!

Considering how bad our return game has been the last few years I would say a 5th round would be well worth it. I might even consider a 4th but no higher. A proven guy like Parrish would be huge for our ST group.

I agree on Rossum, he was all hype when we got him. Didn't do a thing for us. I would however like to see the Steelers get this done with Parrish. We need someone to fill the void since Randle El left.

Steelers | Unlikely to acquire Parrish
Mon, 20 Apr 2009 14:41:36 -0700

Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports the Pittsburgh Steelers likely will not acquire Buffalo Bills WR Roscoe Parrish because they are close to the salary cap, according to a league source.

He's too small for today's NFL. I think we could find someone who is strictly a return man in the fourth already that we don;t have to pay as much. We have a slot receiver already in Sweed, who we are paying good money to. Parrish is a good punt returner, but what is he going to bring to the locker room? Seriously, a fourth is too much, maybe a 5th and a conditional for next year's draft, like a sixth, and that's if he is a world beater. No way in hell I'd give up a 4th.

I think a 5th would be a steal for Parish...

What are you talking about? Randle El is ALL HYPE! I can't believe how many Steelers fans thought this guy was good at returning :banging: Most of the time he ran in the wrong direction. Look at him with the Skins now. He sucks and he's basically a 4th WR at best.

Not that Randle El was much of an answer either.
