The Bengals have claimed Russell off a waivers. So I think we wont be getting him back this time. I hope the Steelers knew what they were doing.

Ok...threads like this always crack me up.....I think the Steelers will be fine at the RB position.....Parker, Mendenhall, and Moore are the top three RB's so I think the Steelers will survive the loss of Gary Russell....lol I liked Russell but the Bengals claiming him off waivers won't have any effect on the Steelers.....

If you look at the teams history, the Rooneys have done good for the most part letting a player go.I liked Russell, but what back could we let go if thats what the front office felt they needed to do?

I wish we kept Russell and dumped Davis.

Just like Cincy to jump all over our SLOPPY SECONDS!!
Don't get me wrong, I like Russell, but with Mendenhall coming back and with Davis, McHugh playing FB/TE, Depth at RB was getting long. I think Pitt will pick up another F/A RB/FB after the draft.

Im gonna miss Russell hes an awesome back and hes young so hes only gonna get better. Our back situation is fine now but at least he will get a lot of carrys with the bengals. It sucks he has to play for such a shitty team though.

So true. I think the Steelers proved in the past that they know what to look for and seem to get when they pick up LBers, and RBs.

I liked him but he must have had no options...
seriously who would choose to go to Cincinnati and play the Steelers twice a year???
