Has anyone else herd this?

The Cleveland Browns have been engaging in talks (http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/04/notes-from-lombardi-sunday-edition/)to trade quarterback Brady Quinn and wide receiver Braylon Edwards, according to our own Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post.

Lombardi reports he is hearing from multiple league sources that the Browns have a first round pick (http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/04/notes-from-lombardi-sunday-edition/)on the table for Quinn, but may be looking for more. Two teams are currently interested in Quinn’s services.
In addition, Lombardi is hearing that the Browns have a first round pick on the table for wide receiver Braylon Edwards and will most likely trade him before the start of next season.
One other note: Lombardi is hearing the Browns are very interested (http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/04/notes-from-lombardi-sunday-edition/)in Texas Tech wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

That is interresting, and very understandable. Browns suck big time right now. They need all the new young blood they can get, and it better damn needs to be talented as well if they want to compete within the next few years. 3 first round picks would def. help build op either defence or offence, and then they'd be able to build around that, instead of building around old players that suck.

I have to admit I didn't pay much attention to Qwinn. Don't know how good he really is but I thought he was worth more than a first round pick.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't know that much about him but it could be a mistake.

I agree, but we are talking about the Cleveland Browns here. :duh:

Regarding the thread title, the only splash the Browns are going to make is in the toilet.

It's funny, Cuz he was a backup and they had the guy doing commercials and they were pumping him up as a big time QB then all of a sudden they slam the door in he's face.

I too am a little shocked that they would give up on him already (Quinn). Dont you think the guy should get a crack at playing before you cut him loose? Unless they see something in practice we dont......

Didn't the browns get a new GM too? If their doing a major rebuild we have at least 1 maybe 2 more years of an easy division. I can't see the spengals getting good anytime soon.

Quinn cried and couldnt play because of a pinky injury and Braylon had more drops than catches. The only splash the browns will make is there season crashing into the ocean if their lucky enough to hit an ocean.
