He was just released today by the St Louis Rams and is still only 33 years old. With the lack of depth and talent on this offensive line if a left tackle like Pace comes in here and stays healthy I think he could be a pretty nice addition to the o-line...Thoughts guys??

The guy was a ****ing beast in college and when he first came into the league. He has been to I believe 6 or 7 Pro Bowl's, and like you said I still do believe he has something left and can help this Steelers team on the o-line at left tackle a great deal if he is healthy and if you can get him at the right price which I believe the Steelers can do as well...

7 time probowler.....those are credentials our guys can only dream of

If they were willing to bring in a poo butt like Galloway, then hell ya bring in Pace. He's only 33, and if we get a T in the draft he can help mold him...this would be worth our time in chat....

hell he would even help out hills....he could probably teach starks a thing or two as well

I say why not also.....Bringing in Pace wouldn't hurt the OL at all...lol He isn't the answer long term to our OT situation but he would be a nice stop gap and especially if the Steelers can't land one of the top OT's again in the draft....

Why not? his knowledge and use of techniques would help out.....

He might not be a pro bowler anymore but he damn sure is better then half the OT's in the league right now and better then all of the ones we have.

Philly will snag him up, they are losing their guys left and right....Either them of the jagoffs!

It can't hurt to bring him in but Latrobe is right. Someone else will snag him up with big contract probably.

I bet most players in the twilight of their career would choose the Steelers. It comes down to $$, and if he's not asking for some crazy amount we could take him, or at least bring him in to talk to Coach Tomlin. Pace will be looking for a good team at this point because he's already loaded....

I would LOVE to see Pace in Black&Gold. You don't sign a 12 year veteran to a 6 year deal, but if you can lock him up for two that would be sweet! As diminished as Orlando's skills might be he is still better than any tackle we currently have on our team. Sign Pace and then sign a center (Mack) and guard (Green) and we would be looking much better going into next year. :yesnod:

Signing Pace is probably about the equivalent of re-signing Marvel. Trade up in the draft and get our future LT and start him at RT for a couple years.

Sure
bring him in, work him out and if Pitt likes him, sign him to 1-2 yr w/ games played incentives,

he will either sign to a team that will overpay or sign with some team for 1 year and prove he is healthy then try to get more the following year. he is worth a shot if its the 1 year way, im sure some team though will give him a mutli year deal.

Depends on what money he is looking for. If its the chance for a SuperBowl we have it. If we can get him for one or two years it's worth it to try him out. He would be better then what we have now. I say Tomlin move quick he won't be in free agency for very long.:crossfingers::banana:
