Everytime I see this kids numbers, I keep liking him more and more. 6-4, 215 lbs. 4.53 40 time. Ktrain, tell me what's wrong with him.

he has no chance at playing corner....hes a FS, the dude could be a monster though. Hes really big at 6-3 to be playing corner and hes done well throughout college, he really will have to move inside at the next level because hes not fast enough, pro wrs will rape him if he doesnt.
i like him but i think if we draft a safety in the second round it should be david brutton from notre dame, hes bigger and more physical and faster, he ran a 4.46 and could potentially dominate on special teams

Smith is bigger than your average corner, but so was Mel Blount. Smith isn't too slow, he ran one of the better 40's of all the CB prospects at the combine. GM's are always looking for 6-1 to 6-2 CB who can flip their hips and match up well against taller receivers. They don't look for 6-3, almost 6-4 CB's because they rarely have CB hips. Smith is an exception. He has Antonio Cromartie type ability.
I had Smith in my mocks to the Steelers for a while early on.
