K Train: Your guys stats don't look a lot different than some of the top tackles. I heard some of the knuckleheads on NFLN say Lewis's arms were too short and he should be slid to guard, yet according to the measurement his arms are about 1/4 inch shorter than the top 2 tackles in this draft (Monroe & J. Smith) :rant2:

lewis is sick, and he just proved me right at the combine....whether hes a guard or a tackle...the dude is a force. just the fact that he says he is more comfortable outside on an island with his man is the attitude i love to see. he might get moved to guard, or he might start out at guard but the dude has the tools and the mentality to play tackle

I have been tracking Cornelius Lewis for some time.....He has been intriguing to me.....With his performance at the combine has made me hope he is a Pittsburgh Steeler come draft day.......I really hope the Steelers take him in the 2nd round if he is there when they pick....

According to the folks who claim they know things:

Positives: Good size. At least adequate initial quickness off the snap. Good use of hands. Physical initial hand punch to stun the defender. Locks on well and can control the pass rusher with his strength and length. Despite his height, plays with enough leverage to anchor against the bull rush. Good burst and pop off the snap as a drive blocker. Can generate movement off the line of scrimmage and is surprisingly active downfield. Flashes some nastiness and looks to intimidate. Versatile blocker with starting experience at right guard and both tackle positions. Flashes the dominance up front that you'd expect from an NFL-caliber player at this level.

Negatives: Lacks the quickness off the snap to remain at tackle in the NFL. Struggles to re-direct if his initial punch doesn't slow the pass rusher. Inconsistent blocking at the second level. Will lunge due to only marginal lateral quickness and balance when blocking on the move. Questionable level of competition.
