Canadian Football League running back Stefan Logan and seven members of the Steelers' practice squad were among 10 players signed Thursday to the club's offseason roster.

Re-signing were safety and Woodland Hills graduate Ryan Mundy, wide receiver Dallas Baker, offensive lineman Doug Legursky, cornerback Roy Lewis, tight end Dezmond Sherrod, running back Justin Vincent and linebacker Donovan Woods.

Also signing were wide receiver Brandon Williams and fullback Ryan Powdrell, neither of whom has previously spent time with the Steelers.

Logan ran for 889 yards and caught 52 passes for 477 yards last season for the British Columbia Lions. He spent time on the Miami Dolphins' practice squad in 2007 as an undrafted rookie from South Dakota.

Williams played in 23 games with the 49ers and Rams in 2006-07.

Powdrell signed with the Packers in 2007 and spent a week on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad last season.

Here is the injury to Powdrell (5-11, 254) when he played at USC. Watch his right ankle.....

Nothing to get excited about here. Good practice squad folks is all. I see no diamonds, but then again, I am not a scout or a coach.

Mundy was close to making the team this past year, he showed some nice promise in camp and preseason. Safety is a pretty hard spot to break in though for this team as long as Ty Carter is there as the primary backup. With Anthony Smith most likely leaving that will open a spot though so we'll see.

They are good practice players. Ryan Mundy definitely has the speed and work ethic to make an impact on special teams in 2009. I was sad to see Mundy get hurt early in the season.

I think the signing of Logan foregoes any chance the Steelers (or fans) thought about drafting Darrent Williams WR PSU in the 2nd round as a PR/KR or #3/#4 Wr.
If FB Powdrell is healthy, he might be another FB that could be a complementary power back to FWP.
Just a thought he could end being a wedge buster on the KO teams
