I won`t be watching, if Woodley couldn`t be added to the roster, then its not worth watching.l

If the Pro Bowl is for the 2008 season, then the team shouldn`t be chosen until after the playoffs, then make the annoucements during Super Bowl week. Take the entire season into consideration. Hell the browns have as many pro bowlers as we do! I bet three pro bowlers is the least ever by a Super Bowl winning team.

I know, I know, I would rather have the Super Bowl, than the pro bowl. But we had some player totally raped here. Woodley, Ryan Clark over Chris Hope, Heath Miller, Jeff Reed.

I know the pro bowl means nothing, but its the second thing they mention when yor up for the Hall of Fame, first how many years you played, then how many prop bowls you were selected for!

The pro bowl will be all messed up next year anyway. No players on the Super Bowl teams will be playing in the pro bowl. They are going to have to ignore the pro bowl nominations for the Hall of Fame with the way they have decided to change the date.

I don't watch the pro bowl either...I like watching the skills challenges a lot more than the actual game.

You can look at it this way... at least they are not taking the risk of getting hurt and ending their career.

When it comes down to Woodley being selected to the HOF, it will be hard to ignore his 5 SB rings and 201 career sacks.

I guess my point is, why have a pro bowl, popularity contest, if the best players aren`t in it?

For the same reason the Heisman is handed out before the bowl games. The Pro Bowl is based on regular season, even though Wood had a pretty decent regular season.

The popularity contest has helped some Steelers too. Troy a year or two ago for instance. We as fans always want to have a "woe is our team" attitude going on. Until they take the voting out fo the fans hands, this will go on.

Here's a more pertinent question. How did you vote for the pro-bowl? Did you vote for your favorite players, or did you vote based on talent? Steeler nation has a history of stuffing the ballot boxes for their guys, and then bitching when other teams fan's do the same.

I know this does not happen all that much. And the last time it did is when the Rams were in the Superbowl. But what are they going to do if the year plays out to where there is only 1 week between Title games and SB? It happened twice in the last 10 years, and it was with the Rams both times. Marshall Faulk made a comment about it a couple weeks ago.

Nobody watches it anyways

Wood will get his share of pro bowls during his career, this is his first year as a starter so give him time. There's tons of players every year that should get in but don't.

I voted best player! You makes you think that only Steelers fans would do this?

Okay, the entire season then. The pro bowl is annouced way to early, and it should be voted on by players and coaches only!
