I hope Tomlin will win, but I don't hold out much hope of it. My guess is it will be between Fisher and and the Falcons' coach.

This is going to be a hard award for Tomlin to win since he didn't get it his first year with winning the division and having the record he did. He set the bar high and so it's like the AP and everyone else expect him to maintain that level. I guess the only way he will ever be able to win the AP Coach of the Year will be to go 16-0 :dunno:

To me the coach of the year is the one who hoists the Lombardi trophy each year. Regardless of the amount of talent on any team it still takes some great coaching to get the team to play well together. If this weren't true the Yankees would win the world series every year and the Dallas Cowgirls would play in the SB every year. Good on paper doesn't translate into wins! To quote Hermann Edwards, "That's why you play the game"!

Do you think Tomlin will care if he loses this award but is lifting the Lombardi in Tampa in a few weeks?

Most of the things voted on are done too soon. Mike wont win this, but he'll win the SB and Inside The NFL will say the voting was too soon.

Yeah I don't think he'll have enough to win it either with Sporano down there in Miami but I'll vote for Mike!

If it was for any coach, Dick LeBeau should win it, hands down IMO.

His defense is the reason our team was successful this season.

Basically, if he gets the Lombardi, he's the coach of the year in the best way

Basically, if he gets the Lombardi, he's the coach of the year in the best wayDo you think Tomlin could win anything for looking so much like Omar Epps? You know if this coaching thing doesn't work out for him he could be a stunt double in movies...

Why does it allow you to keep on voting?

Shouldn't it keep a record of your IP address to at least make it a little difficult to stuff the ballot box??

Nope, it's like all the NFL voting. You can vote all you want until the deadline.

Motorola Has nominated Mike Tomlin for coach of the yr. He continues to keep the Steelers in the record books. 22 wins in 2 seasons as head coach. The team as a whole hasn't done bad either. 6-0 in thier division, Big Ben Has 3300 yds Passing 17 TD's, the defense has 51 total sacks, and No 1 defense in evetything except the rush. I feel a Super Bowl in Mike's futher SOON! :yellowthumb:,:cope:,
